How long do you think it will take him to complete the prototype? Not trying to bug you, just curious?

Also, do you think EL's version like you have or Trusty's new "perfect" version is a better way to go?

this watch is shockingly bad... I am sorry you got duped by the watchmaker9 himself. I think it's best to stick to our trusty dealers like: PT, TTK, Andrew, Ruby, Jos, River, etc...

You can't go wrong with any of these... bummer dude.. that watch is horrific.. Light it on fire..

I think the 'red' printing on the dial is thermographically printed...which accounts for the 'raised' effect....!

BTW.....it states that the bezel is 'uni-directional".....since when did they abandon b-directional bezels.....or am I wrong...?

So is there really not much difference between andrew's 198 version and his $398 version? Just the servicing or is the band better? The dial is the same i guess?

Which is why I hereby rescind my requests without exception and, further, demand that no more PAM reps be produced until:

1)My income rises proportionately to the number of new PAMS released per month, and/or

2)The Franck Muller King Conquistador Chrono or 10th Anniversary Chronograph is repped, produced, and on my wrist.

If the Frank Muller King Conquistador Chrono is is repped, i will sell my car to own one. It's just that awesome... But i will only do the aforementioned action if the rep is a very good one!

As for the PAMs, I agree with Overboosted on the ferrari or a titanium version.

the extra $$ is the full servicing (nice addition).. dials have gotten mutch better since the beginning of the year, but I can't believe that correcting the bold dark font is still a problem..

It is hard to believe that they can't just make the font "BOLDER" or darker red... honestly, how hard is that? We are a pretty easy bunch to please.. just USE A DARKER RED dealers.. And that "O" must be impossible to duplicate, because no one has even come close, sheezz..

He does comment that the "Band" is different now? How so? is it just the logo part where it is polished?

I am in exactly the same boat. Black dial was not available due to lack of inventory so on and so forth....Tracking number was given but was not shown on EMS website. I am as clueless as you are. I Think this take way too long.

Looks like I'm the only one still waiting... payment was sent on August 17th, 2006, but due to lack of inventory, Ruby advised that it was finally sent on August 26th, albeit through another city other than Guangzhou. I have the EMS tracking number, but it doesn't show up on their website. Am now getting a bit anxious, any input?

Hmmmm... That's a good question. Usually, the dial holds the hour pinion down with some pressure from the washer spring that sits between the dial and hour wheel. I suppose it would be possible for the minute hand to hold the hour pinion on. Dunno what, if any, detrimental impact it would have on the pinion or minute hand. seems it would work to me?

Well, i can say this about him.. His pictures are wonderful and he does seem to hand pick his watches.... Granted he has a mouth like a sailor but his watches are nice

Is it only me who thinks that it is even purple and not blue ?

I´m still searching for a decent bezel insert, but did not find it at ebay. I would appreciate any suggestions...

That bezel is disgusting..I would light it on fire and burn it and throw it in the trash!!

I would probably never wear it while swimming, just a matter of preventing any possible problems...

If you can't wear it in the shower or pool, why bother having a watch.. That's just silly.

As TTK said: "No problem in my office...." Okay, so I'll rub it in, I have a killer bar in my offices. Two-Tone got a noon-time Grey Goose and cranberry when he visited while I toasted with a martini. Then I had to get back to work after he left, normal day.

Today I was playing some tenis and after finishing I took my little son to the swimmingpool. I was watching him while he was swimming and talking with a neigbord. I was wearing my brand new PO 42 in rubber strap when my friend notice it and said: "What a beauty! perfect for swimmng... let's go take a bath with our children!" OMG! I felt like going to die, since I never before tested my PO on water, but what could I've said in that moment "no sorry, I have to take my watch out before to swim". So I took that bath and right after I started to feel very unconfortable (I was waiting for the watch to get wet inmediatly )

But the good part of the history comes now!!! The watch passed the test with outstanding results

No water inside after 4 hours... I'm happy But I would never put my self in a similar situation again Just to let all of you know...

What i am concerned about is why you are taking "baths" with your friend... was this friend of the opposite sex?
