  1. An amazing story and great thread. It reminds us to not judge a book by its cover so to speak. Im a big classical music fan. I would have stopped for sure. BUT I have no job right now, along with millions of others in this country, so I have nowhere to really BE anyway. That being said, most people are so wrapped up in their lives they do not notice anything but themselves and their own immediate problems at hand. Most people probably thought he was a skid row bum. Most people who are playing street music are homeless or hard on their luck in life. Sad as it is, perception IS reality. For better or worse. If I walk in a place wearing my Canali suit and any one of my reps, no one would think it wasnt a gen. If I wore my Gen and my ratty clothes I clean the house and car in, everyone would assume its a fake. Perception is reality....
  2. Beautiful old GMT you have there. PM'd for link as well. Do you like in the UK OP?
  3. Reps are getting scary good these days. I dont think they will ever be exact, cause they really only have to be "close enough" to get the job done. However they have made leaps and bounds in the way of improvements. Of course you can never replicate a $8-10K USD watch for $300, and that will always show through. I think reps have their place and I love all of mine. There is always the pride of ownership and inherent value in the genuine article. That goes double in regards to Rolex, Patek , IWC etc. You can pretty much get within 15-20% of the book value of those brands, anywhere in the world at anytime should the unfortunate need arise. Rolex of course could probably be sold in a mud hut in the middle of nowhere, being perhaps the best known watch, and one of the best known brands of any product in the world. Congrats on your GMT II. Beautiful watches, they have really got my attention as of late. I LOVE the all gold with the green face, amazing timepiece, but I feel the stainless is a much better choice for daily use. Wear it well!
  4. P90X does work Im sure. My personal feelings are this. Diet is 80% of anyone's battle in weight loss and changing body comp when it comes to increasing lean muscle mass and losing fat. The other 20% is 10% genetics which you cant do a thing about and 10% workout or training regiment. Some people simply do it all wrong. Like the guys who do 30 sets of bicep curls and see no results. Do 3 heavy sets of any major back/pulling exercise and you will fry your biceps anyway, and to much more effect. I give anyone who ask me this advice. Get the right calories and mac nutrient combination each day. Eat small meals every 3 hours. Lift properly and as heavy as YOU can go with PROPER FORM, focusing on COMPOUND movements. Bench press, bent over rows, barbell squats etc etc. THEN you will see incredible results that will LAST. Just saying.
  5. I picked it up locally. A guy had an ad up for a bunch of different watches and we met in person.
  6. Hi everyone. I posted this over on Repgeek, where Im also a member and thought I might post it here too. Just picked this up last night. Forgive the fingerprints on the crystal and bracelet I was in a hurry to take pics and neglected to wipe it down. I have a President bracelet on the way to me, however I have seen Gen DD with the Oyster bracelet and truth be told its growing on me here. But I will have options with two bracelets anyway. I love the roman numerals on the dial too. Very classy. Without further ado, the photos. Forgive my pictures, in home lighting and a point and shoot equal crap pics. I did ok for the most part I think.
