  1. Thanks Fish, I have checked out this site: http://www.panatime.com/ What size strap is the original for this watch 20, 22 or 24mm? Also will any size strap fit this watch? Thanks again Dan
  2. Hi All, quick update on this. Apparently my bro would like a black strap - does anyone know if Andrew or Josh offer this style with a black strap. Or maybe i can buy a black strap seperately?? Any help much appreciated. Thanks Dan
  3. he will be 32 :-) not sure how it got censored??? Just lucky i guess. looking at the pics posted above compared with the non swan version on Andrews site the only difference i can see is in the detail in the movement at the top. Is this the case? If thats all it is then he ca live with that i'm sure. - can spend the spare cash to get the watch waterproofed. Thanks for all your replies so far Dan
  4. thank you very much for the quick replies. can someone circle the swan neck on the above pics. Is there a side by side comparission available one with a swan neck and one with out. Looks like a lovely watch so will go with this model. The question is do i order 2 - one for me lol I do need a new rep, but then again dont you always he he Dan
  5. Hi All, my brother is after a PANERAI for his birthday. he has asked me to help him choose one :-) I am thinking of a: PAM177H 44mm Titanium Luminor Marina - Asia Swan Neck but it is quite a lot cheaper if i get it without a Swan Neck. ($228 with or $148 from Andrew) What is a swan neck? Is it worth paying extra for? I am open to other suggestions - i would like to buy him a 44mm version with a brown leather strap and is a bit of a classic / well known model. Any help much appreciated. Thanks Dan
  6. ebay sale -chrono link real of fake: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BN-MENS-TAG-HEUER-LI...1QQcmdZViewItem could be a cheap bargain if real. Thanks Dan
  7. I am very happy with my reps and their accuracy. They both have ETA movements, the sub has supposedly been serviced and does keep slightly better time. I just always assumed a gen Rolex would have very tight tolerance levels and woudl lose secs a year not days. Is this sort of accuracy simply not possible in any automatic movement? Thanks agian Dan
  8. Hi All, A bit of a novice question, so appologies in advanced. I have 2 reps. a "perfect" Sub and a Planet Ocean 4th gen. Both are a few secs fast per day. Would the real deals keep much better time? How many secs do the gens lose per day? Many thanks Dan
  9. Thanks all lots of reading ahead of me Cheers Dan
  10. Thanks for the quick replies. www.replica-watch.info appears to be down - is this the correct url? Thanks again Dan
  11. Hi All, as a novice still on the replica scene - i am keen to learn more. Could some one please post some links to other good watch replica forums and sites. Where is this RWI I keep hearing of? Not sure of the forum policy for posting links - so please PM me if its more appropriate. Thanks Dan
  12. PT did not have the 42.5 orange in stock - so i have placed an order with: trustytime aka andrew i believe. Lets hope i get it before chrsitmas. will post pics when it arrives Thanks Dan
  13. Do you know if its the 4th gen version? Thanks Dan
  14. As mentioned josh does not seem to make reference to the version he carries. Also i was little unhappy with the "perfect" sub. see my previous posts - crown guards overworked, date mag to right and off centre and too visable coronet at the 6 position, diver extension would not deploy. sent it back to him and it came back in the same state! Didnt get a response from my emails after that! I tried a genuine 42.5 and 45 orange PO on last week and the 45 is just to big for my wrist. So 42.5 it is. On the genuine the bezel is very very tight, is the replica similar? I will get in touch with Precious Time. Does he have a site or is it PM only? Many thanks for all the help. Regards Dan
  15. Hi All, I purchased my first rep a few months ago - Perfect Sub from Josh. I feel its time to try an orange planet ocean 42.5. I want to go for the so called 4th Gen version but is this still the latest version? Finally i would also like to try a different dealer (other than Josh). Does anyone know a european dealer that stocks the latest version of the PO. Going to be a chrsitmas present to my self!! Hope someone can give me some advice. Thanks Dan
  16. please let me know if you find a good quality LV insert. Many thanks Dan
  17. Thanks for the replies guys. Its been back to josh once already - (with little success), sadly he is not replying to my emails anymore. I think all his Subs have this floor. (the perfect one is just a modded base model - i think he needs to pics another base) I will contact Oliver (repaustria) :-) thanks Dan
  18. Hi All, I have recieved a perfect LV from josh read here I would like to see if anyone can offer a service to correct some/all of the faults. If anyone can help, then please let me know. Mainly I would like the bezel insert replaced and the date mag moved to the left. (or crystal replaced entirely) thanks Dan
  19. The pictures on his site are actually accurate but as you mention the angles help hide some of the floors. I have no doubt josh is a great trader. Of course I had the "Order a rep and take your chances" attitude. So i take my dissapointment on the chin. Hopefully others that are considering ordering this same watch will find this thread and will have a bit more insight into what they will recieve. As an alternative Eddie's watch here looks great: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=8193 I should have done more research is the moral :-) Thanks Dan Ps I forgot to mention the bezel is also quite loose :-)
  20. Before ordering this watch, i did some reading on this forum and others. It actually took a little over 4 weeks to arrive. This gave me plenty of time to continue learning about replica subs. It appears people dont like to be critical about the watches they recieve. I have read numerous reviews of people that are happy with their "perfect" Lv from Josh. Not one of them mentioned any of the faults i listed above. Maybe they dont know any better or more likely, maybe they dont want to admit they paid too much for a rep. Also as this watch is from a dealer with a reputation 2nd to none. People may be afraid to say a bad word about a watch that is supplied by Josh. I have had amazingly quick replies from josh and i even sent my watch back when it first arrived as the etched coronet was off and the diver extension did not work. Strange though when i recieved the watch back for the 2nd time I did email Josh to let him know that the extension is still faulty. His usual quick repsonses has now stopped and i am yet to hear back from him. (there may of course be a genuine reason for this) I do like my watch and i wear it with pride but i think "perfect" sadly it is not. Thanks Dan
  21. Hi All, please take a look at my pics here: http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/4016876 When this first arrived i sent this back to josh as the etched coronet was off to the right and the diver extension would not deploy. I have now recieved this back and the coronet is better but still off. Also no matter what i do the diver extension still does not work (removed clasp but no joy) I do have another sub rep with a working diver extension - so i know how they work. Overall I am happy with the watch but if i am going to be critical I am unhappy with some aspects: The pearl is poor (completely flat) - if anyone knows where i can get a good insert let me know. The etched coronet at the 6 position (centred or not) is just to visible The date mag is too far over to the right The crown guards although nice have definitely been over worked The polished strap is not really a great improvement The watch has gained about 8 secs in the last 48 hrs (i think this is ok). For me to be completely happy with this watch i would need the crystal replacing and a new bezel insert. Looking at some of the pics of Eddie Lee and Precious Time's latest subs they seem much better as a base model and dont have the problems mentioned above. (although some crown guard work would be needed). If josh started with this as his base model then that would be great. Think I will buy an Omega Orange planet Ocean next :-) Many Thanks Dan
  22. Hi, I also have a perfect Sub from josh, does your diver extension work? Many thanks Dan
