I bought a seawolf from King a while ago, when it arrived it had an unfinished pearl, I contacted her and she was great offering to replace it with a different model, no more seawolfs to be had unfortunately.
I decided to keep it, the pearl was bothering me and as these things can, a small imperfection grew in my mind till it was spoiling the watch for me.
I bought a gen dial on ebay and contacted Finepics to see if he would do the job. Send it on and Ill have a look he said. He was real busy over the festive period and I told him to take as long as he wanted (at that point I was sick of seeing it). I got a pm the other day saying it was done and I would have it the next day. I missed the delivery but picked it up this morning.
I am really pleased with how it turned out. Gen dial fitted, superlumed and a bit of "Magic worked with the pearl" I actually forgot to tell him to have a look at the date which did not line up properly, guess what....thats fixed too.
I'm really happy with it, finepics is a top bloke, I would not hesitate to use him again.
Heres a couple of pics, one on the titanium bracelet.
And one on a rubber strap.

Thanks, I enjoyed reading that.
Well done to Angus for taking part.

If you have never seen the Tag link chrono in the flesh and you like the style of the watch you just have to get it.
Simple as that.
I was shocked by how good it is, it does not just look right, it feels right too.Its the best I've seen yet.
Hope people keep this thread going, I would love to see your suggestions.

for the first 2 months it made a "sqeeky" noise when winding... now it just makes a clicking noise... it that bad???
Yup, the mouse that make you watch work has escaped
Give Andrew a P.M. and see what he says.
He may be able to send another mouse
Seriously though, give him the chance to help and drop him a line.

That was a fantastic read, really enjoyed that.
Thanks for taking the time to write it.

Great effort , some good tips too.
You've just inspired me to buy some C3 lume from the Darkside.

Do you just take a tape measure and wrap it around your wrists
pman
Thats all I would do.

Yep, fair enough, its a lot of watch for that.

I bought a Breitling Bentley a couple of months ago. Toe-Tal-Ee AWESOME watch!
Now I'm looking into a Breitling Super Avenger for my next replica purchase.
http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=744
Does anyone have the replica? Your thoughts, opinions, concerns, complaints, etc. about the watch would be helpful. Also if anyone has any wrist shots, that would be great also.
Thanks for the help.
I think it looks like a ss chrono avenger on steroids
I dont think there is an accurate copy of the super avenger, I have not seen one with a good dial anyway.
Have you read By-Tor's excellent guide to Breitlings? You can find it here
Good luck
Gary

So, we've seen what TTK states he does to every watch that goes out. It's pretty impressive stuff, for sure. So, not wanting to play favourites, what levels of detail can we expect from other dealers?
With Precious Time and Narikaa, as they deliver from the EU, we can be sure that they check their watches personally and they take their own pictures, but what about the others? Does it matter? What aspect of watch pricing is more important to you? After-sales? Knowing what you're getting is what's pictured? Speed of delivery and response?
Try not to deliberately provoke the dealers or insult them as this isn't the time or place. Let's go for both the positive and negative, but constructively.
ps. This post is primarily a result of the sabotaging of the other thread as the content was lost in the noise.
Honesty is what I want, above all else.

Damnit, reading here is too addictive. I was going to pick up an Air King but the Tag bug finally bit me.
I read By-Tor's review here yesterday and the impulse thing kicked in and I've just ordered one from Joshua
\o/
Ordered one on Saturday from Joshusa.
Can't wait .

Thats a great diagram Mr Pugwash, Ideal for the hard of thinking like me!

BTW... The source that I purchased this Ti Seawolf from has 20 left. I will reveal the dealer's name and contact info to experienced and trusted members only
Wow! Thats nice, I think the first watch that really made me notice was a Brietling.
Don't think I would meet either of your criteria, never mind.
How hard was it to swap the dial?

The Tag Heuer has been inspected by an authorized dealer, who "confirmed" that it was real! (I told him I bought it for a good price on Ebay, and he said that it was probably stolen, but definitely real).
Thats fantastic, I nearly spat my beer out when I read that.
You have just pushed me over the edge............off to by one.
Cheers
