OT: No photoshop on these. Only developing from RAW to jpg's with Lightroom. Most of my effort goes into getting the angle and light correct. The sony α350 is a nice choice, but anyhow, today's dslrs are very similar to each other. My choice of canon is because of all the glass I have accumulated over the years

I agree that the numerals take the dial to a new level. I haven't manage to capture one more feature in my photos: there are some angles that their metallic border fires up with light and they become so sharp and 3D, almost floating above the dial.

dadog13: thank You for the kind words on my pictures...I will try to do it more justice next time I get some leisure time that will have coincide with some good light. In the mean time, I wish they will make the RG& brown dial. More choices is always good. I still would prefer the Ti-RG, exactly because the RG is contrasted in such a nice way by the titanium. Plus the two tone does promote the shape of the case: the bezel is more prominent and the case looks flatter. Since You have the full Ti, You can see the difference in the way they blend together.

I would probably go for the 44mmChrono in the above mentioned colors: all in all, 48mm in full RG is an overkill for me Still, if it is released, it might be the first full gold watch I would buy

Received mine today. CHS, and will probably be using the hour setting during my cross time zones travels. A great watch. I really wish the guys who made this, will get their hands on more genuines.. It is That good. How about the SD deep sea guys?

Compared to the submariner, it feels wider, heavier, flatter, more polished, and the clasp/bracelet is light years ahead. Kudos to the maker.

I just received the Corum Admiral's Cup Competition 48 in Titanium with rose gold bezel, hands, numerals, and crown.

I will not do a full review, since the plain Titanium is for a while out.

Yes, the size is big++, but it wears smaller than the mm's indicate. +It is in titanium, and therefore it doesn't feel heavy on the wrist.

Yes, the buckle is huge, and the strap is huge, probably to be worn on top of a raincoat on a yacht.

Having seen k222's AR on a plain ACC black ti, it really puts the factory double AR to shame...Ar plays a big role, especially with such a big sapphire. i think it will pay a visit to k222 labs

Things that I love compared to the plain Ti version:

Well, the rose gold. It has a nice contrast, both in sparkle and in color versus the titanium.

The numerals are not printed/painted with lume on the dial. They are metalic ones, filled with lume, adding a dimension to the dial.

BTW the color of the gold crown doesn't match 100% with the rest of the details. Not a huge difference, and even knowing what to look for it will be hard to spot, but since I did notice it, I have the obligation to report it

One of the best dials I have seen, and this goes to the original design. Minute numerals and simple hands. One of the fastest dials, that still feels fresh and colorful.

The colors are hard to portrait faithfully.. I will try to do some middle of the day shots. For the time being here are two more pictures

All in all, AFAIAC this is a super rep. For various reasons (size and brand) it didn't catch the public's attention as much as other 'superreps' out there. No prob for me: I don't mind getting it for a better price..

Hours-minutes and chronometer with 45 minute counter and 60 seconds counter!! Not bad if You are a referee, but I guess that a Casio with a countdown timer/alarm would be a better suited for the job Lucky guys got it for free too!

The 7750's chronos are a lot wider than this configuration.. ex. Have a look at a corum admiral's cup competition, a monster at 48mm. The running seconds are all closer to the edge than the center of the dial...In this "moonwatch", inspite of its smaller size it looks like it is squinting That should give You an indication.

Two notes:

one more iconic watch goes past the 40mm mark..sign'o times.

Enamel dial? Yuck..one thing I loved on the moonwatch is the velvet dial.

First the seadweller sees full plastic surgery and changes its name to hollywood stanards(deepsea), now the moonwatch goes on HGH and gets bottoxed..what is next? How about a daydate getting year-month-moonphase displays and 44mm bezel?

Did the deWitt come down in price because people didn't buy it? I haven't noticed so...

Anyway, I find these watches a bit of a fashion item and unless You fall in love with their design, I think in a few months You might find yourself wondering what got into You...there is a saying that unless it has a dedicated forum in timezone, then it is not a real watch brand..I mean, rolex has two that is a good rule of thumb (at least for watches that don't cost 100k€, like uhrwerk etc that are too limited manufactures to have a dedicated forum)

From Lanikai's pictures it seems it is the same serial..Trusty's is clearly the same.

BTW Here is a cool video of the genuine.. The clasp is great, and You can see how the jumping hours/date thing is on the genuine..

carlsbadrolex: this specific version was a unique run of the production for two of our collectors and is sold out. There is a new run, currently in production, exactly the same, but with a caliber with the usual GMT-rep 'wrong stack'. I don't have any inside info, I am just distilling 3 boards and a couple of threads

There might be one more reason: sometimes during transportation, the hairspring gets tangled..and a jolt can snap it back. I have read that in the past, but can't advise it. . Personnaly I would ask Josh and with his permission I would open the back to see if the hairspring is riding funny. It takes some patience and tools, but it could save the whole trouble of sending it back.

Anyhow, this should be considered a DOA watch, since even the most notoriously weak calibers (daytona.sec@6, iwc.auto.chrono.sec@6 etc) usually run for a few hours or weeks before breaking down.

If I shake it the second hand moves 2 or 3 seconds, then stops.

If You have manually wound it and it stalls after a few seconds, then it doesn't sound too good.It is either "out off beat" or the whole gmt-correct stack is putting too much load to the caliber.. or both. Complications tend to reveal bad servicing/regulation. Crossing fingers that it is just regulation.

Confirmed that the bezel clicks 24 times around the dial, not 12 as per Josh's web site.

The green sticker has to go It reads 16710, the gmt-ii model number, instead of 116710, the gmt-c m#. I think rolex stopped adding green stickers in the latest years.

I feel like I could still not quite pick out the answer I was looking for since I guess I don't know enough about rollie gmt's. If I were to measure the case of this new rep from 8 o'clock to 2 o'clock (which is what I thought was proper) what would this new rep measure? Let me know if anyone actually can pin that down for me.

Bryan, since I don't have the watch yet I can't measure it myself. But the standard measurement is from 9 to 3, excluding the crown, and rolex and our collectors say it is 40mm. Knowing the shape of this particular watch, if You were to measure it 8 to 2, You would find it to be the same size, since it is around these case points that is more or less the same size as the bezel.

A nice article on the genuine 116710, including some links to patents regarding the 'ceramic' bezel. Well worth the time of anyone considering this watch..
