DSSD - Latest Noob vs Gen Mark 1 Comparison
geo1nah2a replied to Sbybbuser's topic in The Rolex Area
Can you do a couple of pictures at an angle versus the face? I wonder what the distortion and reflections of the rep vs gen are. Can you read the serial in the same way on both? Thank you felt the nice comparison. -
Newbs I am sure customs are aware of the trick, but since these "toys" come from China they at not bothered with opening then. Were they coming from Colombia or Afghanistan they would be opening them to check if there is any illegal substance inside the watch inside the toy

Angus is sending me a 3135 clone to tear apart!

RM 005, GEN vs REP. A pictorial comparison.

Thank you for the rare review and congratulations on both purchases. Wear them in good health. -
PS: This is what usually the CF AB looks like on your wrist. A true all black watch..
-
Let me try to clarify. This is the big CF, full ceramic bezel/case/back. The strap indeed has a small gap(1mm) on either sides of the lug cover. Barely noticeable when on the wrist since the strap is pulled up, closing the gap a bit, and with the all black theme it is really hard to point out. (the case showing behind the gap is black in this model, and masks it) I plan to order either a GEN strap or one of the new Gummy Croc straps that have been released with the CF from the other factory (they are PVD case, but have a correct caliber/auto winding wheel). There are other minor flaws, but for such a less known model and with so many different GEN versions coming out, I couldn't care less It wears light, slim, looks great, mirror shine alternates with the brushed bezel / lug covers, caliber is running almost COSC@28800VPH. It really captures the essence of the H CF all black. I couldn't be happier with it. Mind you, I have tried a few times the GEN. My only fear is that the wife might like it, and she will grab it Better scenario, I will be ordering a rose gold version for her

For lack of a full review (that I will be posting soon), here is a pic of the H CF AB that I received a few days back

Sapphire looks tall and separated from the bezel enough from this angle. Any other pics to share?
-
Everyone, thank you for the kind words about my photos. Attached you will find the first pic on a wallpaper size (1920*1200). I will try to post some more pictures in the future

Haven't posted for a while. Nice watch the PAM328. Here are a few pics of mine

Works ok for me (posted from tapatalk)

Get a Kawasaki Z-1000. Splits lanes like a moped, and drives in curves like a racing bike.
-
This should be a direct drop in for the IWC 3717. For the H BB to work, it needs the transfer wheels from 12 to 3. Tempted to get one for my Concord C1..
-
They might not be calf - soft, but they do look nice and wear bold
-
Strap: I believe is the upgraded rep option. I got the same in a tan color
-
PS: I have to add that this was ordered a few weeks back, and I decided to keep it on hold so that I could combine shipping with another one (pics to follow)
-
the good lighting set up and equipment helped out a lot. Mind you, there is virtually no post processing on these.

Long story short, my PAM005 arrived this morning. You have read the reviews,so I will not bore you Decided to do a short photo session with it. Here are some highlights I hope you enjoy them. Thank you to Angus for the excellent transaction and a great watch

Any thoughts on the new Jacobs & Co chrono?
geo1nah2a replied to cougaree's topic in Other Brands Area
Well, as I said, I am not that interested in this designer's watch. I have a thing for ceramic details in watches, and the first thing I noticed is the fact that the bezel is rubber instead of ceramic. The back seems PVD. These two details might be corrected in the next versions (if there is enough interest in them..). We have seen that in the past with various AP models (survivor pops in mind). As for the dial and case, you are right, they do seem to be very well done. Wear it well and enjoy your new watch. Hope to see a nice review from you -

A not so good replication of a not so interesting watch. I'll pass. If you feel like having a rubber bezel, go for an AP. -

Angus is one of the top dealers. Are you sure he can't source you what you want? Credit card refunds can be slow. Can you give us the link to the model you ordered? -

Not an expert of RLX 1655, but here is my best guess: Glass is too tall. Clasp is wrong (should end flat next to the crown). Bezel numbers are too bold. Depending on the price, this might be a bad version or a good bargain. Here is some good reading for you: http://www.doubleredseadweller.com/oh_e2.htm -
The recesses in the LW case are there to attach a multifunction digital add on: altimeter/depth/temperature etc. Really interesting dual personality in these watches. I really love their DLC ones, and the skeletonised version.

As much as I love the 286, I can't wait to see pics of the DLC result

I have a V6 on order. I will take some pics as soon as I receive it
