  1. Stick with the rep dial, unless you really like the 005. I just paid basically $1k for an oem dial. I don't think you will be finding one anytime soon and it will cost you big bucks. Buy a beater H maker M2M
  2. Agreed 100% Toro always come thru.. one question tho, this is my first CNY. Did Toro's site really get seized again or does he take it down during CNY? I'm just getting a blank screen but it doesn't look like a takedown warning as it did several months ago, more like he disabled it temporarily?
  3. So my good friend gave me a heads up after I bought a strap from these guys, thinking that there is no way that with 70 positive feedbacks they could have gotten away with selling 70+ rep straps and all good feedback. My friend is one of our #1 pam guys here and it was absolutely true. The clasp is garbage, the fonts on the packaging are wrong, the quality is not even Noob or H maker but just junk. Can't believe I was scammed like that and yes he is offering the money back but I feel like I would rather lose the $350 and get this guy shut down somehow before he scams anymore of us. Needless to say the guy sends me a cocky email and I need some help reporting this guy as an ebay scammer as I am taking it personally that if he tricked me who knows how many gen and rep guys like us he has conned. Strap is not only a rep he sent for $350 but a very cheap one at that.... Here is the link and it IS fake so please report this scammer!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-Panerai-Brown-Alligator-Leather-deployment-band-strap-buckle-24mm-OEM-/321316149114?hash=item4acfef577a http://www.ebay.com/sch/watchbandsource/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from
  4. Mine went about 145 hours on the first wind Rolexman, I would watch her at about that time frame to get a more official PR on yours. Great teardown and review!!
  5. Can't wait to hear more about the teardown! Got mine form Toro also today and the movement feels rock solid!
  6. Toro has them in stock and already shipped mine!... pulled the trigger yesterday and the QC was already here. As always he is the man. Here is a few of the approved QC's if anyone wants to see. I think it is an amazing leap forward. http://www.torobravos2013.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=933
  7. Does anyone know if the Noob CG shape is more accurate on the 89? I have a 177 and the CG's are very different shape. The noob lever position is center and the H dramatically to the top among other things mentioned here. Ordered an extra Noob Ti CG but wondering if anyone has replaced the lever per OP's original idea and if it was possible as the Noob again has the rollerball that is wrong. The lever width feels identical up against each other... or better to just file out the inner corners of the H to get it sharper Edit... Well I think I answered my own question the Noob Ti CG does not look liek these gens here, the lever posistion is much lower and the H looks to be closer in relation to the top of the CG. SO the only way to get this to be a super rep is to file out the inner corners. Sorry to bring up an old thread but has anyone else files out the inner corners of a Ti watch. Projectolgist over at RG said it was easy and the same process as SS. BTY that pic on 42 must be a rep?

  9. Hi jack.. only been buying reps for 2 months but already have 7. I would get the 243v2 Submersible if your wondering if you want a bigger feel to it. Wears bigger than the rest and feels so gen. If you get the open casebacks the movements look amazing at first but hten you have to start this whole obsession with mods to make more gen. 243 feels meatly like a 48mm Super Avenger. Just my thoughts... 111 is great but like I said I am sending to to put another $400 into it because a bolt here is to short, or the eta wheels not right, to shiny there etc, harder to enjoy so start with a all-arounder you can't really do much to improve with a closed caseback. I also am looking for a 127N (47mm) but it will need to be modded and I guess they are not in stock. Just ordered a 47MM 187 with the 7753 myself so that will be my first 47mm but i LOVE the 243v2 with a custom croc strap. Hope that helps.
