  1. So how much would you personally pay for a Rolex GMT 1675 in Gold/SS rom 1970 without a bracelet? I have searched the net and have found prices from 3800-5000$. And this dial has a "put on" crown, not a printed which might be pretty rare. I am really thinking about pulling the trigger but I also think about your words that its already too expensive.
  2. Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate that. Also: The Crown on the Dial is "nippled" itself ... its not just printed. What does that mean? Is it "better"?
  3. Hello, I would like to buy a new Vintage Timepiece. I have found this GMT without Papers but with box. The guy says its from 1970 and has not a Printed Crown, it has a "Put-On" Crown. Whatever that means? How much worth - if gen - would that watch be on the market? If I get that beater I will write a long review here in the gen section. Here we go: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230532661648&_trksid=p2759.l1259 Thanks for reading guys
  4. Wow, that is pretty cool! Which Cad are you using ... I would download the trial for that then. I will be able to help you with the drawings and I will find the cheapest company to produce these things. Maybe someone with a gen here who could help us with the pictures and exact measurements?
  5. Dear Community, I am continously hearing about Problems with inaccurately looking CGs or almost all current PAM's. In another thread I have found, that the problem could be the lever, as it has a larger hole than the pin diameter that is holding it. My Idea is now that the community could just get together, and design a new Lever with correct dimensions in Autocad (would a new CG be necessary?) We could then find some company that would produce them for us with a Autocad driven CNC miling machine (today thay have almost no tolerance, so we will get exactly what we want). I hope we find some guys that would be intrested in that, so if one has less time, the other can just continue ... and we rework our custom lever to perfection. In the end I would say we just give the levers to anyone from the community just for the real production cost that the company basically charges ... A non profit project basically. Dan
  6. Superb Poolshots. One question: Your lever is still sticking out a bit ... as well as mine. The Gen has a slightly recessed lever. Any Idea how we can solve this little issue?
  7. I ordered from Trusty, and the Quality Control Pictures are looking trementously great. Here one of the QC Pics showing the lever ... Its absolutely fine. I will write a big review once the watch arrives.
  8. Ah: Also 2 Questions. When did the PAMs have the Titanium Crown, and when did they have the SS Crown? Also: I found those CGs on eBay, do you think they would be good to go with one of your crowns? http://cgi.ebay.com/PAM-CROWN-GUARD-PANERAI-WATCH-44MM-47MM-PART-/310248173351?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item483c3b6f27
  9. I got one of the new A7753 250's and I am wanting to Mod it to the max. Will your Crown make things better? And can there be any issues with present Rep CG's? Maybe I should get better CGs ... any idea where I can get them from and which CG is your crown good for?
  10. Wait ... I am waiting for my PAM250 and parallely I ordered a 24/22 aftermarket croco strap. Will I be unable to take the clasp from my fake leather PAM250 band and use it for the croco strap?
  11. My Question, are the new A7753 PAMs coming with Straps made of genuine alligator leather, or is it just some imitation looking like alligator leather? I am asking because I am waiting for my A7753 PAM and I just ordered a "genuine croco leather aftermarket strap" from eBay (Seller: pstrapusa). Any input on this? Are these straps good? http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400142913629&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Looking forward to hearing from you guys Dan
  12. Hey Guys, I am about to get a Navitimer Chronometer. Now I have searched the net and found some nice pieces from trusty watch guy: Trustys Navitimer Now my Questions: Which Navitimers did actually exist and which are fantasy-designs? Will the Gold look like real gold, or would you recommend a steel only watch Which of the Navitimers would you personally take? Any common flaws/glitches that might need some modding? What should I look at when purchasing a Navitimer? I hope you find some time to help a newbie. Thanks
