  1. I have a Breitling deployant, fortunately its a gen so it fits very well, but it is 18mm and fits my Navitimer fine, it is possible to get hold of 22mm-18mm leather straps for the deployant, and it looks fine. http://www.watchobsession.co.uk/shop/black-calf-leather-deployment-strap-p-436.html hope this helps tangle
  2. My gen Breitling deployant is really comfortable, but my Chopard rep deployant looks a lot nicer, there is something about the chopard which looks so "classy". My SS GMT2c bracelet is my best all metal strap but I have it extended using the addition 5mm easylink, I would love to try a rolex with the glidelock.
  3. I've just received my Chopard Mille Miglia back from the watch repairers; it was bought off another collector so I wanted to give it a real good clean. I dismantled the bracelet off the watch splitting it in half and cleaned it in an ultrasonic cleaner using water and soap detergent. Dried it carefully using kitchen paper and then I soaked it in Baby Oil in a bag, massaging the links and working out any dirt. Cleaned off the oil and polished off any excess using a soft cloth. Reassembled and sized the bracelet and it feels fantastic, smooth and supple. Any excess oil in the pins will work out over time. Really pleased with the watch, I was going to buy a silicon strap to be traditional, but this bracelet is just so comfortable I may wait a while before moving it a strap. I will post some pictures at the weekend, the ultrasonic cleaner was only £20 from Lidl if you are in the UK. But many should be available. It cleans straps really well especially my rubber breitlings.
  4. thanks for the info, in the end I send vai international signed for, which takes longer but was on the instructions of the dealer.

  6. This is an interesting watch, seconds at 6 and been running for over a decade, smooth sweep on the large chrono, Not sure if it would be good for any possible mod for a daytona, the main problem is this is a gen Breitling quartz. when I say smooth chrono I mean very smooth, better than my 28800 rolex gmt 2c.
  7. Great watches, I was looking at the Gen yesterday and only saw it with Gold numbers and blue hands, where did you get the fully steel ones from ? i have never seen one on teh dealers sites. tangle
