  1. I can't remember how much this particular one was, wouldnt have been more than 40EUR though! Bargain haha.

The other one was I think 20-25EUR that one does tick and the bracelet on it is so very rubbish its unreal, I got that along with an "Amani" one which was equally as shocking!

Hell yeah worse reps rule :-D, the trouble is most people won't have them if they did have them in the first place.

  2. Believe me the one in the shiny blue plastic box is worse! I know its hard to comprehend but it really is!

I don't think I actually wore this beauty out (Thank god!), when I got home (and sobered up) I realised how bad it really was haha!

I might post this up in the Rolex section FS lol see what the guys in there think.... (maybe not)

p.s. I just checked the Lume, it is NON EXISTENT and the bezel is fixed it doesn't move. I'm still actually amazed they went to the trouble of making it so the chrono's screw out and its apparently sweepyness on the second hand, at this level, what with the rest of the craftmanship thats gone into producing this fine example you would have thought the cheapest movement possible would be in it! Just you wait, I'll open it up and there will be a gen ETA inside Haha how funny would that be.)

  3. Right here it is! Now bear in mind I have an even better example of a folex somewhere! This is a real beaut!

I know I'm going to get bombarded with PM after PM wanting to take it off my hands, but I'm sorry guys this just isn't for sale :-)

The chrono pushers both actually unscrew! They however do not function (the sub dials are just there to make it look like a chrono, its really not! Just in case you needed me to tell you that ;-p)

Now it MUST be a genuine example because again surprisingly it does NOT tick tok, it has a smooth second hand sweep and for the love of god its an automatic, god knows what's in it! I think I'll rip it apart when I get bored one night and see!

  4. I'll post the really crappy one when i find it (its in the spare rooms somewhere! still in its plastic blue shiny box with "Rolex" written on it LOL!)

I'm home and just got my canon EOS 450D out mounted the 580EX Flash on it and a 77mm IS lens, not even used the 77mm macro filters i have yet, perfect time to do so :-) haha

  5. I can beat that :-) My Folex is a beauty! Just you wait till i get home! I have a worse one than that I got from a chinese shop in spain many years ago that one came in the box! Lol it was a shiny crappy plastic tacky horrible box, god knows what i was thinking mind you i was 19-20 then.

  6. Ha ha :-) mint, Yeah I had to get her one as she kept on moaning on about me spending more money on watches, I think she'll be happy with the Chanel, having seen the review on it here where the rep was actually preferred over the gen by some people lol, I told her even though its ceramic they can be broken, I think it was Ubi's wife who managed to break the bezel on hers.

Could do with finding a decent UK watchmaker so I don't have to ship to Germany, want to get the movement serviced and have it pressure tested + water proofed if it fails testing (which i'm lead to believe it will do).

  7. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the EMS tracking when they say 2 of my parcels shipped via EMS are "Handed over to customs" yesterday and no further updates... does this mean that they do this step and record it as a matter of course, or have my parcels been nabbed by customs, does anyone know if EMS updates when customs are finished with it or not? Any advise would be appreciated on this. I've not had many EMS shipments before and never looked at the tracking!

    Cheers.

  8. Thanks for the advise mate. Will do that when I get it, I guess i'm going to have to send it off for a service and a proper waterproof job then to our friendly German watchmaker? I read somewhere he has got a pressure tester now too so i'm sure he will check it, and if its not waterproof, if anyone can do it properly it will be him eh?

You could do that, sure. Josh would probably replace the watch. It would cost you about $30-40 to ship, and you'd wait around a month, minimum. Then what happens with your next watch when it comes broken, then the next, and you've already begun burning your bridge?

Do what you can on your side to quality control your pieces, because its not going to be done in China. Thats all we're trying to tell you.

This is too easy not to do. When you receive your reps, run through this checklist.

    - Inspect it for damage, make sure it works and isn't broken. Make sure the screws in the bracelet, bezel, etc. are intact. Make sure the spring bars are securing the bracelet to the case properly.

-check the caseback, they come loose most of the time. Unscrew it, and check that you got the movement you ordered. Make sure the O-ring is in the caseback. Grease it (heavy silicone waterproof grease, like bearing grease you can get at a bicycle store.) Tighten it down as hard as you can. You can open and close the case with the sticky ball method (search that term) or get a rubber ball, like a dog toy for example)

-Inspect the stem, Clean any debris from the threads then dab some of that heavy silicone waterproof grease on them.

  9. Yeah I see how the seconds are right near the center hand now! I guess this was supposed to be a PAM00104 then. Just looks impressive with the AR on it in RL.

Thanks now you pointed all those things out its glarringly obvious that the crown is teeny weeny and its even missing the "automatic" decal too.
