  1. Hi everyone I have just been delivered my MBW DRSD and it is a beautiful watch, but there is a lot of dust under the acrylic crystal Here is a large picture so you have been warned. It shows the dust and marks quite clearly and they are under the crystal. Bit of a disapointment, but what I am really wanting to know is who is the best person in th EU to modify these vintage reps? I am thinking of these in particular: - Crown guards - Lug holes - Bezel insert/Pearl - Caseback engravings - Dial and hands aging/relume That is what I would be looking to have done I would hope that whoever could do the modifications would be able to clean and remove the marks/dust etc..... Thanks for your help. You guys on this board have been fantastic in the past with pointing me in the right direction, so I hope you can do the same once more Cheers!
  2. OK we have a result! Oliver (repaustria) has agreed to do some work on the watch for me. As soon as it's done I will post pictures, I'm told he does excellent work.
  3. I have sent her a few email in regards to the mid-size Yachtmaster. I asked for more pictures and a couple of days later she sends me these: Looks like a genuine watch to me. I sent a reply stating I would buy THAT watch if she sent another picture with my ebay name in the photo. I wonder what she will reply
  4. Finepics is a top guy I have sent the TAG to him as well as a 6263 that needs a subdial hand repositioning. He promised to squeeze them in when he could, as he is busy with luming watches left right and center Thanks everybody for pointing me in the right direction.
  5. I would tell you who he is, but my minds gone blank! I paid for mine on the 14th of Semtember, but remember there are two people I know of who can source this watch. One is much quieter than the other, keeps himself low on the radar so to speak
  6. Gioarmani's last set of pictures were fantastic What was the watch from your previous thread again?
  7. http://visitbristol.co.uk/ Don't worry about taking your watch either
  8. That "Blank" is a quality guy, with great service. I should have a DRSD coming soon myself
  9. It seems strange that they would put that crown on what is an otherwise VERY good watch. Why do it?
  10. A lot of people have been waiting to have a good look at Pauls "Perfect" Sub. If you could get some more pictures of this watch I think it would answer a few questions as to the price difference for example when compared to other dealers...........
  11. Well if it looks like this....... Then you will have me interested to say the least
  12. True enough. It's not something I would do, but in an open forum what can you do? If you want the extra viewing flow that goes through this forum section, is that the chance you take? Myself I would love to pick up an Omega chrono, but none are accurate enough for my liking. I don't understand why they don't make a replica of the Omega Sea-Master Professional Automatic Chronograph that uses the 7750, at least the dial spacing would be right. The one that I have seen was poor in other areas though If they made one with the same attention to detail as with the TAG chrono I would be ALL over it
  13. This is the Omega photo section though, not your dealer section............. So I feel he is entitled to inform other members of the pros and cons of this watch. The big problem that stopped me buying one was the sub dial spacing Cheers
  14. I usually watch the road show, but missed it playing WOW......... D'OH!
  15. Whenever I have paid with Paypal using my CC and then get a refund, I always get 100% of the money back and it goes back onto my CC not into my Paypal account. If it goes into your paypal account and you lose money to fees it is because the person you sent money has not refunded the payment, but they have paid you back.
  16. His PM box was full the first time, but I had not checked the message tracking option so I had no idea The second message has started the ball rolling, I just need to verify that an ETA date wheel will fit in the Asian 28800 bph movement. I hope it does
  17. Finepics has been kind enough to point me in the right direction I hope to get this sorted in the not to distant future
  18. I have sold computer hardware on a forum and always give the first person to commit to buy the right of the deal. Anyone who contacts me afterwards will get told the items are sold pending payment and that if the deal falls through I will contact them. Is there any other way to do it?
  19. So much for "My word is my bond". If you agree to do something, then you should always honour that agreement. If you don't then your words mean fxxk all. Just my opinion, for what it's worth....
  20. It means dabing a tiny amount of glue on the thread before screwing it in place. Like loctite, I do the same thing with my radio control car to stop the screws dropping out. Cheers
  21. Please, somebody here must know where to buy ETA date wheels and the location of a good watchsmith somewhere in Europe
  22. The egg came 1st. It was laid by a bird that was at the starting point of evolving into the chicken as we know it today.....
