Good point Chronus, but I was refering to Muslim extremists who want to pull the entire world into the dark ages with their insane backwards beliefs.

Thank for the reply Davey I have a tool kit being delivered, which has case opening tools etc.....So I am pretty sure I may be able to remove the hair myself as you mention. I will not attempt it if I feel it is beyond my abilities The date is a different matter altogether. Over the last day or two the date wheel has not "turned over" fully, I get the dates half way through I really need to get it looked at and maybe have the date wheel replaced, but so far I do not know where to turn. I can't find ANY information on UK or EU watchsmiths who would be willing to look at the watch The watch has the new 28800 bph movement and it runs very accurate, even when compared to my Swiss ETA 7750 Please feel free to PM me if you know of a good reliable watchsmith who is rep friendly, or even an expert hobbyist The search continues...... Cheers

The other version of the TAG chrono has a very good font as you can see here: I wonder if I could source a date wheel from a dealer? Any ideas?

I sent him PM a couple of days ago in regards to this topic, but so far no reply.........

A religion in civilised times should not advocate violence in any way. The key word there is "civilised" I don't beleive most Muslim run states/countries are civilised.......... That is not to say A Muslim cannot BE civilised.

From the replies received, I think I need to send the watch to a replica friendly watchsmith. I have looked and searched this forum and had no luck in finding anything. I did once send a watch to hxxp://www.watchdoctors.co.uk but they no longer look at replicas Could anyone with knowledge of a reliabe replica friendly watchsmith please contact me? Thanks

This I completely agree with 100%. Religion is the bain of modern times and we would be better off without it.

Tesco? Blimey is there anything they don't sell now?

Are you using Telewest? I cannot access at home with either computer. I get the "page cannot be displayed" message. At work I can get through with no problems, rather frustrating

Never for a minute would I suggest such a thing were true either. Good and bad people come from all walks of life.

There is no negotiating with terrorists. killing innocent people will never EVER bring people round the terrorists view point. Their actions seek to cause divisions in communities and cultures worldwide, and further the distrust between people with different backgrounds and beliefs. We can't let them succeed in ther goals.

I really can't speak for other forum members, but to be a Muslim you can be any colour or nationality, no? EDIT: As mentioned earlier, I have not got angry

I have used LCD monitor wipes myself, very effective.

Is there not just a generic date wheel that could be used? I don't mind if it's not 100% accurate. The font on the watch at the moment is really bad, with spidery lettering that changes from number to number. Anything with better font consistency would be a BIG improvement. The 17 does not look that bad, but single digit numbers have a thicker font and varying thickness in places. It's just nasty to see

Well there are many different types of Muslim girls . I try not to have any preconceptions about people, as they just cloud the situation. I worked with a Muslim girl for a few years, she was a cashier where I work. She was a great laugh and fun to be around, but I would not call here a serious Muslim. She did have many family issues and I thought she was put apon by her family in many ways, particularly by some of the men in her family. Another young Muslim who was a cashier at work was a horrible person. She was about 16-17 very young, but had an enormous hatred of Jews, an opinion I think installed into here by older relatives. She stole credit cards from two fellow employees and was caught using them in sport shops in the next Town. The second girl was by far the more religous, but also a much worse person.

Thanks for the reply I think the date font bugs me more. I looked in my local jewellers and saw the black face version of this very watch. The font was the only real difference I could see. I would prefer to send the watch to an expert to get both issues resolved to be honest

Hello fellow watch enthusiasts. I have just purchased a Tag Chrono from River and this is what it looks like: I like the watch very much, but there are two problems that are bugging me. The first is a tiny hair at the 12 position right here: The next issue is the poor date font which you can see here: Is there anyone in the UK or the EU that could fix these small issues for me? I would obviously pay for your time and expertise. Heres hoping...

Don't worry I am not angry What that experience describes to me is standard security profiling. During the years of terrorist activity by the IRA, tight controls and checks were put in place for people that fit the description of the criminals they were looking for. It is unfortunate for the people who get stopped and embarrassing no doubt. It would however be foolhardy to ignore practiced procedures, which in the case of the UK have been in practice for many decades for similar terrorist activity. Again I state that anger should not be directed at the people or countries carrying out the searches, but at the fanatical terrorists which have caused these searches to become common practice.

I must admit I find it diffficult to understand how Europeans have marginalised Muslims? I am a European, how have I marginalised Muslims? Muslims are becoming isolated because terrorists are killing in the name of Islam. Route out and remove the fanatics that are tainting the Muslim religion then maybe Muslims will be seen in a different light.

Interesting, are any of those fine Gentlemen UK or EU based? I am pretty sure The Zigmeister is in the USA.

I understand you completely. Most people would not want to align themselves to such drastic outbursts and draconian views, but the people that do are using the Muslim religion in the process and perverting its teachings. These are the people that moderate Muslims should be angry at, not the increasing numbers of worried westerners eyeing the nearest Muslim with suspicion. The way Muslim people are viewed in the eyes of others is being distorted by terrorist activity in the name of Islam.
-
There are always narrow minded people who only see what they want to see and are badly informed. It does work both ways, but when you see people celebrating a terrorist atrocity that kills thousands, how can you try to build a relationship with these people to understand their views? Would you even try?

There is violence in every religions history. In the past all religions have been forced onto others through violence. The Pope made a remark in regards to a violent part of the Mulsim faiths history, quoted from a Byzantine emperor of the time. Are Muslims saying he is not free do do this? Are we only meant to speak words that are placing the Muslim or any other religion in a good light? If we deny the past and ignore the truths of our history do we not learn anything? Every religion has dark moments in history, not just the Muslim religion. We must learn from the mistakes of the past to improve ourselves and our faith. However Muslims are the only people in recent times that react in such a violent way to other views and religions, which in turn defies the true beliefs of thier very own teachings. This is what ostricizes Muslims from the rest of the world, but they just can't see it.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion on the matter, but how does violence help? For a non-violent religion how can a violent reaction be condoned?
