  1. As a standard member, I don' think you can see any of the dealer sections...... http://www.rwgforum.com/forum/263-supermirrors/ That is Sead
  2. It' may be a little more expensive than some of the ipads, but then, in terms of specification it's much, MUCH better than the technically bereft, and weak ipad Why Apple fans wish to pay more for a lot less is the real wonder, although it's not surprising, they've been doing just that for years.... Can't wait to get my hands on one of these, it looks really sweet and competition is only a good thing for any market, as more devices get released, prices should drop
  3. Yep, if it's like that now, it certainly won't get any better!
  4. How about you click the "contact us" link from the website provided? We try not to spoon feed the members here!
  5. Picking the blue stuff off of a new rep watch
  6. I used to be the same, however now I worry more about cosmetic flaws and or defects (dust, marks on dial etc...), rather than small inaccuracies I still want accurate replication, and there are still deal breakers (like a sunken date), but I have mellowed over time
  7. Exactly, just another reason not to worry about it, at least they are not short and stubby lugs like with DSN's cases! Some of these flaws and/or differences I see being discussed are infinitesimal!
  8. Yeah, it's easy to get carried away playing with these watches, but really we forget that we should just wear them, especially when they're this good from the get go!
  9. I hear you, but after studying the rep pictures of the various models, that are huge in comparison to the real watches remember, I can't see and major "glaring" differences. Any swaps in parts won't change anything for me, even after checking all the threads. So bearing that in mind, how would the majority of genuine watch owners tell the different, or just the general public? The answer is, they wouldn't, it's a hell of a rep So the 005K good enough for me straight from the box, and playing with parts would just be for the fun of it in my book
  10. Yeah I hear you, I play around with unbranded PAM case sets/dials etc too Had the new PAM005K for a day, but it was faulty, so back it went. It was a damn fine rep, the case/crystal and overal build quality was amazing, aside from gen parts, I think and "upgrades" would be a lateral move at best! Cheers!
  11. Forgive my ignorance, but why do this?
  12. Nowt wrong with your pictures, although natural daylight will always yield better results Try taking some pictures next to a window, with daylight shining through, that will be much better than using a harsh flash
  13. Thanks for your post, but 75x75 resolution pictures, maybe you should add a zero to those numbers at least?
  14. Cool, good to know the sec@12 movements are available There are different Daytona rep cases available, some are slightly thinner than others, however, there is no real cure for this problem, unless you replicate the Rolex movement! I still can't figure out why there is no pre-2000 Daytona using the tighter Subdial secs@9 A7750 based movement, the factories are not making one, when the potential buyers are there in their thousands! That might be a better project, but then the problem is the new dial that will be required. I wonder how thick the tighter subdial sec@9 is, compared to the secs@6? We know it is much, much more reliable..... Also, I wonder how much the secs@9 tight subdial A7750 movement costs, and if it would be better to transfer parts?
  15. Yeah, it was either RWI or RG, but the results were quite stark, with a 50% failure rate, treated or untreated, there were quite a few poll options to select. I remember reading from members who had their watches treated, only for it still to fail... There is a question of the quality of the work done and the general accuracy of polls of course, but the numbers still looked very bad, and not all the work could have been poorly handled for every watch! The general consensus was: secs@6 = paperweight joerg, interesting stuff indeed Will there be a detailed write up on this, where did you source the parts, and what were they?
  16. The date is fine, you cannot call bad QC because you think the date should be half a mm lower! My Gen Breitling SFSO has a date positioned in the exact same way
  17. There was a poll on another forum, the results proved the graphite treatment was not successful on multiple secs@6 watches, it was quite a large and long discussion/poll too.....
  18. Yep, seems like we're in the same boat!
  19. Have you ever heard the expression: "Putting the cart before the horse"? Interesting project, I wish you the best of luck! Best bet it to email as many dealers as you can, not a complicated email explaining everything, just a simple one, requesting the pictured parts.....
  20. Are you for real? Did you read this?
  21. Is this the new "who has the best Sub" question? I can't figure out how you couldn't find the answer yourself dante, it's all over the forum about these new PAM's
  22. Hehe If you look at Stargate Universe, the "fans" boycott watching the show and bash it all over the net, and it gets canned. It was a great show, better scripts and cast/acting, than the previous shows, a true gritty series. Now there is no new Stargate on the TV for the first time in years...... Another intelligent show I loved was Caprica, that's gone, with the similar fate of SGU, "fan" boycott and internet hate campaign. Remember Deadwood? They never even made the last season, due to poor viewer ratings, that was one of the best shows I have ever seen on TV! So that's what I mean really, lots of really great shows disappear because nobody in the US watches them, or the fanbase actually try to force them off air?! Seems most peeps are too busy watching X Factor or crappy reality TV shows, and unfortunately it seems that trend is catching on here too, lets call it "dumb TV"
  23. I've watched the last two Looking out for HBO's Game of Thrones too, loved the books
  24. Just hope it stays on air, so many decent shows get canned, American TV viewers are a strange bunch......
