  1. It was delayed for some reason, great show!
  2. Thanks, it isn't the customs issues (none in the UK anyway), it is simply me wanting a super fast EU/UK delivery
  3. Lovely looking watch and pictures, thanks for sharing Any EU dealers holding these in stock I wonder? I know PT isn't......
  4. Thanks guys, the link series is sweet, love the bracelet and curved edge design Yes, this watch uses Zeniths El Primero movement, named calibre 36 by Tag. I will take a picture soon when I have my next day off....
  5. I would have been, but most of my reps are gone now, at least the ones I would have coated. However, I bet there will be more on the horizon!
  6. Cheers Ubi, and Yep, the dial/hands are totally spotless, as is the whole watch really, although my refurbish did improve things quite a bit! The previous owners brushing of the bezel was not that great! Thanks BT, always wanted an El Primero based watch, when this popped up, I had to grab it. The Link bracelet is so comfortable too! Thanks for the tidy up, this thread has kind of changed a bit now!
  7. Thanks chieftang, I love white dials, my gen Breitling SFSO is the white (cream really) dial version too!
  8. A fellow member was kind enough to point out the sale of a Tag Link Calibre 36 watch, and I was lucky enough to buy it! Thanks very much dvn for that! It is a lovely watch, I am so happy with it! I re-finished the bezel to a mirror polished finish (original owner brushed it), and re-brushed the entire case/bracelet. The outer AR coating was pretty messed up, so I removed it. The white dial does not really need double AR, single is fine. If anything the AR scratches were distracting from the simple, pure white dial. I snapped some quick pictures, what do you guys think? The watch looks almost new, the AR inside the crystal is very effective, the dial still really "pops" out at you, such a comfortable watch too! The chronograph runs butter smooth, you can hardly see the ticks! I think I got a great deal, the box and papers were included, and the recent full service is still holding a four and a half year guarantee, I would just need to send it back to Canada Comments and observations welcome!
  9. Out of interest, I am pretty sure Domi left the gen disc 100% intact
  10. Now I can see the pictures (was on my phone before), all I can say is WOW, great skills!
  11. I always thought the Yachtmaster looked more sporty than blingy, I am not a fan of bling The YM is a sweet watch, very low profile, which is where the WM9 YM wins, as most other YM reps are too thick in regards to the case construction.....
  12. Thanks for the kind words, was a pleasure to trade with joerg, a perfect gent! The gen disc is indeed used as an overlay, it was installed by Domi, who did a fantastic job aligning everything. Cheers!
  13. Wow, great collection! Gotta say though, you could have a fair few gens for that kind of money
  14. Both the secs@9 and secs@12 case sets need to have the case back trimmed and reshaped, and maybe the secs@9 case itself is 1mm thinner, but still, I prefer the sec@12, gen like construction is a must
  15. I think that the secs@3 would line up OK? Can't hurt to try, as mentioned, it can't be that far off? You could trim the two discs down I am sure, if you were careful and did it by hand. If not the date raise mod is possible, I know Domi has done it before on the old A7750 PAM Daylights, you could tweak the alignment too....... The date raise mod would be the icing on the cake for this watch!
  16. Sweet watch, looks great! Why not use the Breitling font date disc as an overlay onto the date disc below, that would work, no? You would just need to trim both discs down a little bit to create enough room, or even better, get the date raise mod done
  17. MBW Rolex cases are a world apart from the AP ones The MBW secs@9 case is not constructed like the gen, the secs@12 is. OK the secs@12 case back is a little too thick, but is fixable, the MBW case set not being constructed like the gen, is not..... The bezel screws/bolts on the MBW are just for show, on the secs@12 the bezel screws/bolts go right through the case and secure the case back, just like the gen
  18. Not really, you just have to slightly trim and reshape the case back on the secs@12 version, the secs@9 is not constructed like the gen, it's a serious no brainier
  19. No comparison, go for the secs@12 case set, the secs@9 version is not even worth your consideration
  20. I think I will get the gen and post some pics, love that titanium carbide case!
  21. The old first versions of the secs@6 used low beat movements, no? And were more reliable as a result. The new ones are pretty much paperweights waiting to happen. I thought The Zigmeister recommended removing the chronograph functions and freezing the seconds at 6, if you wanted it to run long term and reliably?
  22. There are no decent modern Daytona replicas, they are rubbish, the modified A7750 with seconds at 6 WILL fail and stop working, and 21j/quartz options are very poor quality and not accurate at all..... Best best is to go vintage, with one of Spinmasters Rolex 6263 watches, or DW (DW Watch's section on this forum) Oh, welcome to RWG!
  23. You should be able to tell from just looking if it's a WM9 case set, it's miles better than any other rep YM case. Don't have mine any more, so I can't check.....
  24. I wish I could find one cheaper, but there are simply none anywhere for sale! I have looked over ebay frequently....
  25. That flyback does look sweet, I bet they are pricey though?
