  1. What else is it, if not the way the date wheel was originally printed? The date wheel is moving by the exact same amount with each date switch, but it is not quite printed correctly, so it becomes slightly out of alignment..... (in your case a little too high, some worse than others) That was the exact same problem with Lello's custom made PAM and Breitling date wheels, misaligned printing causing the date to sit wrong in the window. It's tricky stuff printing date wheels, even a fraction of a mm out of line, and it will look wrong.... Cheers!
  2. You should keep it, as you can tweak it with the crown anyway. Mine has the same issue (Skyland), it is totally not worth sending it back for, and I doubt the dealer would agree anyway...... Plus the replacement would likely have some other issues anyway. I bet your watch has a nice clean dial and hands by the look of it, and an aligned/straight Breitling wings on the dial, which is a bonus with these reps Just be thankful most of the dates are OK, and that it is not misaligned to the left or right, or too low, as then you would be able to do nothing about it via the crown A service of the movement would not help, as the date wheel is printed slightly out, so it cannot be corrected.... Enjoy your BCE it looks like a sweet watch..... Cheers!
  3. The 036 rep has completely the wrong style of movement when compared to the gen, and what the hell is that "cap" over the canon pinion? Urgh! The 177 wins hands down out of the two links you provided, although it has issues too..... Still I would suggest you contact Davidsenjpn here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Davidsenjpn-f72.html He has always delivered great watches whenever I have ordered, even custom stuff and "sterile" (no branding) watches Do a search for PAM036 or 177, there is lots of info here to steer you in the right direction Cheers!
  4. Yes, and if you use your pulse as a measure to check the watches beat rate, and it sounds about 1:1, then you're in big trouble!
  5. In a quiet room with the watch to your ear, it should sound like 7-8 beats per second. Not all watches are equal though, some second hand sweeps will look worse/better than others.... Cheers!
  6. You must have never tried true isolation headphones then, or you would never have said that Put your little fingers into your ears, that is the same amount of noise they cut out
  7. I have a pair of Etymotic er6i headphones and they are fantastic, best I have ever owned! The i in the model reference designates the better version (compared to just the er6), designed to work with portable MP3 players etc.....
  8. Nah, I am only messing It seems you made a mistake, but then, who doesn't? Jennifer has been fantastic in replying to the few emails I have sent, always very helpful and prompt to reply It seems you over reached a tad, although I am sure you will find somebody to work on your watches, but remember, even though you are paying, in many ways the person doing the work is doing you a favour at the same time
  9. Yeah let's change the topic..... Anyone seen that film with Simon Pegg? It's called How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, and it is a great film, I highly recommend it
  10. Damn, that does look nice, and at that price who could argue!
  11. Blimey, this sounds bad, I hope they did not lose too much!
  12. Interesting, maybe it's not a fantasy Sub after all?! Yep with the weak
  13. I have a spare Evo bezel with all the screws and tabs, PM me if you want it, say $20?
  14. I was tempted by that Sub too, but the weak
  15. Don't see what this has got to do with me TeeJay? If you want to spend your money with PWC/T4D, a drop ship dealer and a proven lying scammer to boot, then go for it! As for this Submariner, both those replicas look pretty damn poor to me, I would rather go for the GTM2c Or maybe a fantasy ceramic Sub: Cheers!
  16. I have a Skyland bezel that swings both ways too! Doesn't really bother me though
  17. OK just for you, click to expand..... Just pulled these off a post I made a while ago
  18. Thanks guys, although the blue dial is now gone, off to a new home over the pond! Raymo, there is a picture of the black dial on the croc strap in my first post If you search my posts you will find other photos too I think.... As for manly reflections being par for the course, maybe so..... I would be all for it, if it were womanly reflections without doubt
  19. I have seen first hand that a bit of dental floss will stiffen the bezel up, wrap some round the inside then pop the bezel on, works really well, not too much though!
  20. I had an EVO V2 with a gen bezel installed. If fit very well and had a satisfying click when turned, if a little looser than the gen would have been Gone, but not forgotten member repaustria installed it for me, and I still have the old rep bezel in good shape too, sold the watch long ago though!
  21. Beautiful watch and a great strap combo, wear it in good health!
  22. Pick up a genuine Breitling blue calf strap, looks really good!
  23. Would that they could, but it is not worth it financially for them to even attempt such a thing, although I wish they would!
