  1. No worries Lani, it's the world we live in, that's true....... Hands up who is already looking for a gen dial!
  2. I understand where you are coming from Lani 100% I myself work in sales, in an electrical retailer. I guess I just hold people to my own standards. I do not BS my customers, I give the best advice I can, no half truths or bending of facts..... Probably a rarity in my line of work Still if I purchased this watch and was told I would receive a corrected dial, as the pictures were of a prototype, I would be rightly pi*sed off about it, should the watch not be as sold..... Cheers!
  3. Yeah it is really small to be sure. Everyone is different, some mind, others don't, there is no right or wrong I just have to ration myself as to what I do, or don't buy. else I would end up with twice as many watches as I already do! That means I have to set the bar high as to what replicas I purchase
  4. Too true Lankai, I really wish that it was a prototpe pictured, if not, I hope they correct it soon.... I think we can all agree that dealers should not lie just to make a sale, right? I mean if it turns out that all the watches are as pictured, then what was all the "prototype" email stuff all about then? Cheers!
  5. I never said they did I just think that it's so close to a perfect replica, it's just a shame the it has been ruined (for me) by the lume dot issue, everytime you check the date, it will be there. I could live with just the triangle 12 dot....... Such an easy fix, you have to hope the next batch will be corrected..... Cheers!
  6. No scandal or agenda here, just silly easily avoidable flaws ruining a good watch, a watch I was looking forward to buying.... I had hoped the dealer emails regarding it being a prototype pictured were true, but it seems they were not, at least from what I have read eleswhere. We will soon see when the member reviews arrive..... Cheers!
  7. The dial is the most important part of the watch, and for me those two flaws would draw my eye and ruin the watch for me, let alone the case size being wrong........ I did not buy the first Breitling Heritage due to the "P" and "A" alignment, the Skyland's flaws are more numerous and much worse than that.... However drop a gen dial in there (if it fits) and you would have a great replica though Why get this Skyland when you can get the Evo? The Evo has a fantastic dial, without any lume dots chopped in half, or placed where they should not be..... As for the dealer emails and "prototype" issues, that's just out right lying, if all the watches turn out to have the same dial issues as the dealer pictures......... Cheers!
  8. If they have the gen watch, then they know first hand the exact size of the case and the dial lume configuration. There is no need to have these flaws, and to my eyes they are glaring ones.... The Evo with updated DW is better than this, and cheaper too.....
  9. I agree, I will not be getting this watch.....
  10. Looks like the best HBB all black to date in my book Engraved rotor too! This is from the best factory for sure, nice watch! EDIT: You should loctite all the screws on the HBB watches anyway I think
  11. Thanks for sharing, looks like you got a nice watch for sure It does look smaller on the wrist than the SS band version too
  12. Ah I see, my bad, I thought it looked like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/TUDOR-PRINCE-DATE-AUTO...tem180262694927 But I see the dials are different, although I still like the original case better Maybe you should check how much marsupilami wants for one of his dials, then it would have the right dial for the case, no? Either way it is a beauty, and a watch I tried to find the funds for myself, but failed....
  13. I was tempted by that watch too, really fantastic franken I have to say I really prefer it in the original case, rather than the Daytona rep case.... The Daytona case has the wrong size/font bezel numbers, plus does not have "500" engraved, the bezel is the wrong shape too. There is no date mag and the rehaut is lipped and too shallow.... Genuine: It is obviously up to you, as it is your watch, but I see no improvement with this case swap, sorry..... Great purchase though, I would have tried to get this too, but I was lacking the funds at the time, wear it well
  14. $185 including the conversion kit is a great deal I imagine the carbon fiber strap would look sweet on the new, black dial, rubber bezel AP
  15. Nice strap and watch Looks better off the SS bracelet I feel, seems to hug the wrist well too. I bet it is a lot lighter and more comfortable to wear
  16. Thanks for the link Good to see all the transfer gears are jewelled, thanks very much to Mike for dissecting the movement!
  17. Yep, both look fake, have you reported them?
  18. Wrong item number then.....
  19. Because now you can type 80
  20. Wait for the seconds at 12 version, this watch is very poor, but should be quite cheap I would hope.....
  21. I know the makers are tripping Remember that white gold plated, 2892 based Yachtmaster that disappeared without a trace? That was about $600 with an Asian clone too.....
  22. The whole point of these watches is being lost. Cheap fun replicas, not for much longer........ I see no reason why it should be over $350, maybe the black steel version would cost more of course..... Cheers!
  23. No way to know for sure what was done/used, and who will drop $800 to find out? not many..... They really messed up here, I mean it's a damn big fugly watch Why not forget the plating and just use steel anyway, it would look OK and cost, what $350 max?
  24. I hope your wrong, I really do. The best Breitling Evo is about $330 delivered, so if they try to be silly with the Skyland's price, that will be the game up for me, no more purchases......
