I'd be interested in hearing from some of the Breitling Superocean Heritage owners out there who have had their watches for a while.
Are you happy with the piece? Are the Swiss ETA versions worth the extra cash? Were they waterproof right from the dealer?
I am looking hard at the black version from Silix, unless you have a better suggestion.
Thanks,

This is my first post on this forum, but have read a lot here and on another forum before making my first rep purchase. My first was a Sub TT from a trusted dealer on another forum and generally happy with the watch. The crystal will need to be repositioned as the magnifier is off. My second rep was a Sub SS from Eurotimez and from the minute I opened the package, I saw the results of good quality control. All my future purchases will be from Eurotimez and feel that the extra cost is well worth the piece of mind that it will be as perfect as possible right out of the box.
+1 to Chris at Eurotimez.
He is helping to set new standards for Quality in our favorite products.

I need to vent here. I just tried to buy a couple of watches in the past few days and was met with about six snotty emails from out esteemed dealers (I won't name names, but it's the usual suspects) who have a watch listed on their sites and then when you email them they respond with a snitty email about how they don't have the watch! Then take it off your goddam site or note that it's currently out of stock. One dealer even snottily told me that they don't make the watch anymore with attitude like I was an idiot becuase I didn't know that. Then why is it on your site?
And if I ask for a white face TAG or whatever, don't respond that you don't have it in white but the black face is nicer.
Okay, venting over.

Sent you a PM...Maybe I can help. I have a like new TAG Link Chrono with the 7750 movement that doesn't get much wrist time. It runs great and looks just like the gen. I'd sell it if you are in the CONUS. Photos on request.

Ok i know i am probably entering this in the wrong area and i am sorry for that...
actually i have never posted a blog or thread or whatever these things are called so please bear with me...
i was wondering does anyone know where i can find reviews about trustytime.com or trustytime88.com which is the same site...??????
please help me, my friends and i are looking at buying a few watches from there and just dont feel like getting a knockoff that is clearly fake by weight or movement, or dealing with a company that is not truthful...
the only thread i found on this site is something about waterproofing and beware of dealing with andrew.... are there other reviews?
is there a review on this site that i can read?
i appreciate any help?? thanks everyone...

Hey Bearcat where did youget this one from, never seen a white face is it fantasy?
White dial Ingenieur can be picked up at the factory in Schaffhausen. Originally not made for distribution....Just sold to IWC employees and visitors to the factory museum and store. May be added to the catalog in 2008 or 2009 or maybe never. Rare and HTF....This one has ETA 2824-2 and keeps time to COSC standards......Love it.

I'll go with this one this AM.....Need to get at good wristie of it!
It has become a new favorite.....The PAMs are getting jealous and, even though I wound them all this weekend and this morning, are fomenting a revolution in the watch drawer.....
--Doc
-
You mean, this way ?
Yep. That's it.
-
Don't the genuines have little round dots instead of the lines for the minute indices?
It is a nice looking watch, but that flaw on the dial is pretty glaring.
I think that you can find the gen here:
http://www.patek.com/patek-philippe.html
Trusty Andrew's reps have the ETA movement and the correct dial as show here:
http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=2007
But it does not say it is an MBK watch.

DVD player croaked so I need a new one. Will be stepping up to the higher resolution TV soon, so I thought that I'd get either the Sony Blu-ray or HD-DVD system. Sony seems to be winning the format war, but the HD-DVDs are being whored out by Toshiba so what to buy is the question.
Any suggestions from the cognoscenti here would be appreciated. Saw the Sony in action today and it is impressive....But Blu-ray discs run $35-40 and selection is limited...very limited.
Thanks,

I took another shot for you
also, you need a 24mm strap to fit the lugs.

Nice photos.
I used to spend a little time around F-berg...And a lot of time at Green Top Sporting Goods down in Ashland.....

One word: *Barrrrfff!!!!" - Whoever buys that watch has some serious identity issues...
I've seen that watch in person at the Shreve in San Francisco, up near Chinatown....Quite a unique piece...

Big meeting today so I went with the dressier Day-Date...Sorry for the crappy photo but, hey, it was practically DARK out when I left for work.

Am having a hard time with a trade that I agreed to do with one Paul Meschwitz of the Boston area. Evidently he has several different forum IDs and several differnt emails on a number of gen and rep watch forums. I found this link about another one of his deals. Ian is evidently his son's name. His brother, Steven lives at an adjacent address and he has stuff sent to his brother's home from time to time. Any info would be helpful.
I always tell people...the seach engine is your friend.
Check this out.......Many IDs and different emails. This is a search for his name from the RWI site:
search.php?keywords=Meschwitz&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Do not deal with a user by the name of Paul Meschwitz. He's been scamming people all over the net and was banned from this site long ago. I believe with all the new upgrades and features over the past few months, the old Banned people are able to get back in now.
here are his know user names & e-mail addresses

After doing a little searching, I find this guy has quite a rap sheet on several gen. watch and rep watch forums. Keeps popping up with different user names and emails......Check his IP address........He also claims to be from California and other states but usually has stuff shipped to 48 Williams Ave. in Hyde Park MA (Boston) 02136-3542
This guy is a real piece of work.
Postings and clips below....Can somebody get this over on Via Paneristi?
From a Seiko Watch forum:
[ view entire thread | this msg on the scwf ]
As most of you guys know, I bought this Seiko Black Samurai from this ad here:
http://www.network54.com/Forum/170229/message/1182113170/
And the seller shipped an empty envelope which I put up a post here:
index.php?mod=103&action=0&id=1182780726/EMPTY+envelope+shipped+to+me...+I+feel+cheated%2C+what+should+I+do-
Then, the next logical thing to do is to contact the seller and I kept John N in the loop as well.
The seller replied his emails promptly and he has been romancing on the issues with me for weeks. Giving me excuses such as the papers and box is not with him now, etc etc. Then finally he emailed me on 8 July 2007 saying that he has the instruction booklet all ready to be sent out on 09/07/2007. Heres the email I received from him:
"New instruction booklet arrived in mail today and can be sent with watch, still waiting on warranty card but will send what I have on Mon 7/9/07
I give you my word that the Black Dial Samurai will go out Mon Morn
from the
local PO. I may have the inst booklet by then if not I will not hold up
shipping the watch. Thanks Paul M"
But it was an empty promise, I waited patiently for another two days but he didn't email me. And after which I emailed him on two ocassions, but there was still no reply. I have every reason to believe this man is trying to buy time (whatever reasons he has) and is a con man afterall. I guessed he got worried when I did a paypal complaint against him. BUT after when Paypal acted in his favour and removed the complaint, he know that he can withdraw his money happily. (what a good community member Paypal has been)
He use names like JOHN GUENTHNER, Paul M, Anna M (as his email name) and Ian Meschwitz (his email name), Kurt Stiener and Josey Wales (in another forum). Then when I asked him who these people are, he asked me back the same question. John N questioned him in a separate email as well, and there was no response from him.
His email that he use is ammpmm@rcn.com and omega7557@hotmail.com. When I did a google on his email, nick and all, I was horrified to see these:
http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=30375
http://www.larrybiggs.net/scwf/index.php?m...p;id=1160079673
Now he uses yet another name, MR Josey Wales to try to sell this watch here:
http://www.orientalwatchsite.com/forum/vie...?f=8&t=2771
And a good forummer, emailed me some additional information on this guy, who has an ebay account, and bought some stuff from him.
This crook ebay ID is kurt7557 and his full address is:
Ian Meschwitz (actually his young son's name...can you believe it?)
48 Williams Ave
Hyde Park, MA 02136
United States
So I believed that this address is really where this crook is living in as the item that he bought from this forummer reached him. And I supposed his real name is Ian Meschwitz, Or Paul Meschwitz (Paul M)....
Also....Do not sent anything to a similar address next door....his younger brother Steve Meschwitz lives at 49 Williams Ave. Hyde Park MA 02136. They share a duplex and mail gets swapped.
So guys, what do you think I should do? I feel sick and I really hate to go through this. Is there anyway I can get the crook's phone number through that address? Is there anything I can do?
If you got any suggestions, etc, please let me know. Thank you for all your help and thanks for reading, such a sick post.
Happy Watch Hunting!

Ha...that's the guy that MACAVI, who scammed me and a host of others, complained about at RWI about being scammed by him...so, a scammer got scammed by a fellow scammer...now that's what I call irony.
Looks like I am his latest victim....He used the name of rjsbiggie as a referral (a trusted member whom I have done business with).
Then he scammed me out of a PAM. See my post here on RWI:
http://www.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewt...=296268#p296268
I will also post this as a separate link entitled Paul Meschwitz and try to get out all of his aliases, user names (several) and email addys (several)
See also this post from a Seiko forum:
http://www.larrybiggs.net/scwf/index.php?m...p;id=1184654905
I hear that he scammed Takashi out of a watch....He really likes to prey on people in foreign lands figuring that they will never bother to follow-up.
I suggest that we all take a road trip to visit him. I have verified his actual address so I know where to find him.

Ok, Vic...Post the answers, please.
And let's try to turn this one around.
Guess which famous person is wearing this Day-Date?
-
Bush wears a Timex and is *proud* of it. Prince William looks like he has a Bond Seamaster on. The rest can likely be identified by the true WISes on this board, but the photos are too grainy for my aging eyes.
Nicely done post. Thanks!

Fantastic job guys....A very useful reference. Thank you!

P.S. Are you collecting BB numbers? If so, I have a few.....

Wow, thank God I'm not a man. I just can't imagine what it is going around basing likes and dislikes on looks or whether someone gets me randy. I could never have watched years of Parky or Benny Hill if that were the case.
I know you're not shallow, Freddy. But this trait that men have never fails to make me raise my eyebrow.
WHAT are you doing at Houston's as a vegetarian???
I greatly dislike vegans. Vegetarians are all right. My dad is one. So was his father -- in the 1930s...
Me, red meat couldn't be bloodier for me to love it. As Patrick Henry said, "Give me red meat, or give me early cardiovascular disease!!".
...Or, as I heard at a recent environmental health/food safety seminar in San Antonio......"Red meat is not bad for you. Fuzzy, green meat is bad for you".
As for Nigella.....she gets my paratid salivary gland going along with many other bodily fluids........

@VB--Great shots, as usual. Thanks for sharing.
This baby for me today. Meeting with a bunch of foreign students today at noon....wonder if anybody will notice?
