I love the 183, but am on the fence because of the potential crown issues.
Have you had any?
(Vaccum did a great job, btw)
Man ,,,,,
Ihad the same ,,,crown threads streped off twice on 2 different reps and the 3rd is hanging on by a hair ,,,
I wonder if Davidson crowns are different , I am not sure they will fit non Davidson reps
Cheers

Would you wear a PO Black with a suite and a dress shirt with cufflinks ?
See ,,,the P.O “ as you all know “ is a great daily beater , and since I am in a suite 90% of the time . I am thinking of wearing it with the suite ,
What do you think ?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Hi mates ,
I just ordered the F.A Johns Skeleton,
And I would like to make some mods to upgrade the appearance and feel of the watch ,
Other than the obvious of putting a nice corc strap , what do you think can I make to upgrade it ?
Would appreciate your opinions and pictures
Thanks and cheers

Navitimer all the way ,
And I highly recommend the leather strap with a suite ,
It is much more understated and easier for the eye to comprehend
For the GT , well 45mm + Gold + chunky gold silver bracelet = Buff Daddy

Steelfish... easier to find, cheaper and fantastic watch.... choose white dial and tan leather band ans SS band: dress and sportive watches (two in one).
Steel fish all the way it is a very versatile watch ,
Looks great on steel bracelet , leather and rubber
I have the one of the old Chrono Avenger , and the old seawolf is great But if you can find it , and they are a scratch magnets and unlike steel the scratch come and stay it is very difficult to remove and they are so apparent
Go for the steel fish

Daily Beater : This can be anything, titanium Omega Seamaster Chrono, Omega Planet Ocean, PAM036 probably the ones I would use most.
Dress Watch : Solid 18k gold Franck Muller Casablanca or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo or Vacheron Constantin Overseas (I have worn this to weddings).
Smart Casual : Zenith El Primero Rainbow or IWC GST Chrono, or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore in titanium. Perhaps even the Breitling Chronomat Evolution.
Sporty: Doxa Sub 600T/750T (orange dial) or Sinn U1 , or Omega Seamaster/Planet Ocean range on rubber strap, or Breitling Avenger Seawolf/Chrono Avenger on rubber strap.
Travel Watch: Omega Seamaster GMT (white dial or black dial)
Vintage: Vintage Omega Seamaster, Doxa 300T or RlX Seadweller/Subs.
Watch to go clubbing: White ceramic men's size Chanel J12 or two tone serti dial RlX Sub. Perhaps even a PAM187.
Watch to go casino with: Franck Muller Vegas or Corum Casino.... or any big Panerai to divert attention.
Chronus My dear ,,,,,,
You have a very Expensive Taste

From the posts so far there are almost consciences on the following :
Daily beater : the ultimate PO “ Very Popular “
Vintage : vintage Subs And SDs are wining
Smart casual : B Steel fish ---- is getting a head but not quit there yet
WE are no where close to reach an agreement on the dress watch !!!!!
This is a very important category ,,, lets try to reach something
Cheers

well it seems that the ultimate PO is wining the daily beater category
lets see about the other categories specially the dress watch
cheers
-
Very tough to choose;
Daily Beater - Ultimate PO
Dress Watch - Navitimer on leather
Smart Casual - BCE White on Brown strap
Sporty - SMP Chrono
very nice choices ,,,,,
specially the navitimer as a dress watch “ at lease it is much more reliable than an IWC Port Chrono “
-
Hi mates
Lets list a perfect collection of 4 reps one for each category of wear
This can be very helpful for any start up collector ,
Here is my suggested list :
A) the daily beater : Omega Planet ocean Ultimate
the dress watch : IWC Port Chrono
C) the smart casual : Pam 183 Black seal
D) the vintage : a gen omega or an IWC
what is your suggested list ?
cheers

Hi Mates ,
Please help me out on this ,,, I am about to buy a new car ,
Knowing that they booth cost exactly the same ,
I have 2 choices Either the new Passat 2007 or BMW 3 Series “ I got a very good deal on a brand new 2006 old stock “
My only concern towards the BMW is that it my be over stated or Flashy , do you think it is ?
Or shall I go with the understated but plane Passat ?
Thanks in advance for your responses and opinions
Cheers

Thanks for enlightening me folks. Otherwise I would have my crystal removed for an ar coating.... So a simple cyclops swap will be enough.
Actually “ and please every body correct me if I am wrong “ the Date cyclops on the earlier models is different as well ,, they were smaller than the ones the current pams have .
I think the rep Date cyclops are in fact closer to the earlier Pams
cheers

Some watches are nice but nice enough to pay 4,000$
To me INMHO is just one of them

With this setting your guaranteed to get lucky tonight ,
Good luck

I think .......“ and I am no Expert “ ...................that is a Dino Z Spartacus which I do not think is produced any more

Here's a Vintage Rolex Ad from 1974...
TT
A much bigger evolution in diving than watches
Take a look on the divers equipment on the first Rolex AD !!!! all that while the Sub design and pretty much everything remain the same

More comedians in here than you can shake a stick at.
So the sum and substance is that no-one really knows what the wee boy is wearing in 'Blood Diamonds'?
Sorry , for the Joke
I also thought that it was an invitation for joking
And every time I remember the sight of the 44 Avenger on Di Caprio’s wrist ,,,well

Ladies' DateJust?

Hay ,,, only 8 members responded ?
I am sure that a lot of us around here had the same problem or this problem at least prohibited some of us from pulling the trigger on a 183 / 210
Come on speak out , lets encourage our dealers to do something
Cheers
