Just got one from fleabay last sunday for $71.00 + shipping out of desperation to get my 1016 built. The one I got from last month was only $54.00 + shipping, Just be on the look out. If bidding becomes crazy wait for the next one, He usually has 2 watches on ebay per week.

I just purchased the same GS crystal on eBay for $6 (shipping included).
Do you mind sharing where you found it on Ebay. Thanks

Cool, I will check around. How about reps anybody know of a good source?

Very nice

Thanks for pointing that out Gorilladame, Forgot to mention it needs an ofrei pearl too. My total investment if I remember is about $90.00 for a pmwf insert with an ofrei pearl.
-
I bought a PMWF insert for my 1680. According to my research it's one of the best Aftermarket inserts.

I don't. think they do that here in U.S., Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Guys,
Can anyone point me to the right direction on where I can purchase some 580 end links. Rep or genuine.
Thanks

My Ultimate goal wa to build a nice franken 1680 w / Gen. Movement. That's why I did this.
Once I achieve my goal, I will only part with my franken to purchase a Gen. 1680. That's just me.

Very nice watch panerai. I wonder how yuki makes the 2836. Overlay maybe?
-
Good looking watch! does the yuki dial have lume?
Thanks, No it doesn't.
The Tudor date magnifier is more to the edge of the crystal.. its a t-115 or something i think. I know its definatly not a t-127 because i have an old gen crystal off my old Snowflake and its not the same date position. You would also need the correct movement with the datewheel out further.. not sure if you can mod the 2824 to move the datewheel out... Doing a non-date would be a lot easier thats the only reason why i suggested going that route.
I thought it was as easy as tudor movement uses ETA therefore datewheel lines up. I will have to rethink what you said.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

That's a Great Idea. I want to go with a Tudor 9411 date. My question is will the 26mm Tudor dial fit ok in the PT 1680 case and will the currently installed clark 127 crystal cyclops sit exactly on top of the date to magnify it center. Maybe somebody who has done this can give advise.
Thanks
-
Finally this is now all put together. What made the build so long is the Dial I have above is made for the ETA Date wheel to line up perfectly and not being able to use my overlay. As I wanted to use my Overlay, So I had to order another Rolex Dial from yuki which is what is there now. Also Added the Ofrei Pearl, The only thing I don't. like about my supposedly genuine 127 crystal is a lot of glare from the cyclops. Otherwise, I love this watch and going to be my daily wear. My PT1680 might go for sale soon to fund a different project (Tudor Snowflake might be).
Special Thanks to JMB for helping me build this watch.

Cool, Thanks for all the Information. That will do it for this build.

Hi Guys,
Which ETA Movement is more proper for a 1016 which mimics or close to the original movement specs. 2836 or 2846. JMB is helping me build a 1016 using one of his cases and bezel and adding a Yuki Dial to complete it.
Thank you always for all the nice helpful people on this forum.
