OMG....that was disturbing and hilarious at the same time.

look here for OEM
http://www.ofrei.com/page750.html#9214
only 159
I have not seen a rep version and the OEM is not too expensive.

Which SMP is that? WBK's? U should start with something else since the He valve is totally off on that version.
U only need to add lume over dots and that will cover over the green. U could also just buy a gen dial. For the pearl, just replace the entire bezel.

great watch.....is the a MBW case?
-
this is SS with a carbon-like coating....I'm going to have say no thanks.
-
I have a watch with a 2892 movement and DD module, but the subdial layout is 3, 6, 9, with seconds at 3, how can that work with this different subdial layout, is there a different DD module?
Cheers!
Yes there is a different one. Yours does not allow for date/cyclops either.

SMP chrono is very accurate (non-red version). Asian 5th Gen PO is very nice and its cheap.
-
Looks sweet. if i didn't already have 4 jumbos....I'd definitely buy this one....the case construction is super nice.
Thanks for sharing
-
I'm also curious if Mary's SMP comes with coke bottle crystal?
It makes a huge difference.
-
Super nice! Can u share the cost?
I am surprised that the rep endlinks can fit the gen strap (with the missing ledge).
AP bands straps are constructed just like gen but also use plastic like the rep.
Endlinks from AP bands, oracle strap, or a MBW might fit better.
-
Yes, this is correct. Look under the 'Tools and Parts' section of the forum.
Thanks, that's the way I'm leaning right now.
case preference is debatable. The MBW versions are thinner like the gen but you dont have removable bezel screws.
gen dials can be had easy for 600 on the bay....still a lot money.
-
Have a gen darewheel but it's not installed. I think I'll wait for a service perhaps before I mod it. I have a gen eta movement so actually mine isn't too bad compared to the clone eta datwheels either.
Great pics.
Was the starter watch an ETA clone or ETA version? I'm planning to get one for gen dial/hands mod.
The gen strap fits perfectly? I have a 4th gen and the strap I tried flipped out (could have been a rep strap but was sold as gen).
-
Is there an ok rep of it? thanks for the reply by the way.
That blue dial is only available in sec at 9 version and that is very rare as well (limited MBW with old style case)
-
Wow, I like that Millenary my friend, that's rare for sure, never seen one like this before!
The AP ROO does not look like a MBW piece...date looks all wrong. The other pieces are stunning, tho.
-
looks impressive and its affordable
-
He valve still looks off to me as well. It is offset but not offset enuf.
This being one of the primary issues with the PO 42mm's, why would the dealer pic not have a straight head shot?
-
I've two ap reps and I love them.
What stops me buying more is the big "tell" which screams rep. The date wheel on the gen looks a lot deeper than on the rep. Everytime I see a gen in a shop I can't help but get annoyed with the rep.
Is it genuinely deeper or has the gen got a different magnification which makes it look deeper?
Deeper because of the movement. There is no solution to this unless a competely different movement is used and you would be entering fraken territory there.

What is the best way to contact Takashi??
Ti AP ROO case had been out since March 2010....orchard road.
-
thanks so much for the review...its going to the top of my list
-
Sure, he will also build you a quantieme perpetual skeleton and royal oak concept, no worries.
Problem with the Paris is that the case size is only 39-40 mm. No current rep chrono case matches it.
-
not totally worthless....the case construction is nice.
They made the dial(AP not filled, text font off, AP logo size off) and the hands worse for previous versions.
Flaws aside, its a really nice watch.
I want to see properly made endlinks for a leather strap (that fits AP bands and gen straps).
-
Awesome looking watch. The concept of the strap is really cool but the holes could use some smoothing....perhaps using heat to melt the rubbber smooth?
-
Re-lume really adds to the AP's value and looks. Awesome job there.
Really like the grey shark strap as well.
thanks for sharing.
