  1. Definetely no, they won't fit

    :(

I want to upgrade the crystals in several of my rolexes, do you know if replacement crystals are available that will fit the other rep cases, datejust etc? Is there a reference giving the dimentions of the genuine or oem rolex crystals?

    Thanks.

  2. NO, this won't fit.

    You'll need 295c-2 gasket.

295c-1 is for datejust (and daytona I guess)

It's not easy to find a gen gasket only, you could buy clark's crystal complete (specifying for submariner), gasket has the same gen specs, and you'll have a spare crystal.

    Ebay #300230156651

Do you know if this will fit the noobmariner? Thanks.

I am confused, isn't that James Dowling's wrist?

  4. The only reps I have seen, so far, of the DSSD look like the 1 that Mark is selling, which is crap. POS Asian movement, incorrect case dimensions, fake-looking dial, etc., etc. I am sure the factories have or are near to having a much better version. Hopefully, it will be of similar accuracy & quality to the new GMTIIC & available with a gen ETA movement, but time will tell.

You pays your money I suppose, it is only $50 after all...

  5. I agree to an extent; counterfeit drugs, food, aircraft parts are terrible things; their performance directly affects lives.

Counterfeit watches, shoes and bags on the other hand? I couldn't care less. The reason these goods are counterfeited is partly because of the greed of the manufacturers. I mean come on, is an LV or Coach bag worth any more than one from Marks and Spencer? Of course not. Vastly inflated prices due to greed.

The reason things are counterfeited is due to greed on the part of the people doing the counterfeiting. It is market forces that determine the price of goods, not the greed of the genuine manufacturers.

Example - Rolex increases their prices every year at more than the rate of inflation. If you don't like the price, then you don't buy the watch.

By the way do you know how long the wait is for the SS Daytona?

I have always felt that if you know what you are buying, then there is no problem. But who wants to buy fake cancer drugs or engine parts? Nobody. How about a TV with a fake power supply that burns your house down? Nice. I don't think so.

  6. This is all fine and good, but what happens to the people/children driving the freeway when a component failure occurs and wham the worst case scenario happens? Wow!

Then consider the large scale counterfeiting of life saving drugs... and you see this whole industry in a different light.

  7. i have not looked but if they are reps lets get them down

They are reps, just look at the date font, and they are being passed off as 100% gen. Both are near $1000 and have not yet passed their reserve price, this guy has a real cheek.
