  1. These are all great ideas. Per da thread title, da last place to look might be for da loose bridge or da bent pivot (and not necessarily on da balancier staff). sm iiH!
  2. Both of da schwingungweites are equally problematic. Da low one ist obvious, but da high one may result in broken impulse juwel, early hemmung unlock and at da least positional 'knocking' under full gangreserve. Da beat error should be less than .1 ms. sm iiH!
  3. Ja, da Stratocaster on da darkside! Hey Strat, have you picked out da Tux yet? sm iiH!
  4. Typical of da poor materials and da worn out tooling. Da uhrmacher would empty da case, apply da extra fine lapping compound and utilizing surfactant and water would dress da threads by repeated, progressively deeper engagement and da periodic cleaning. Da rookie vill "screw" dis up every time by going too deep and "locking" da abrasive in place. Da uhrmacher then polishes da threads to remove any traces of loose metal and cleans dis residue. Simple - if you are patient! sm iiH!
  5. Ja, stiff has heard dis before. Da bench mounted Bergeon or even da Horotec opens dem. sm iiH!
  6. Dis isn't usually so much of da problem wid da Bergeon watch case opener. Hygene and lubrication helps. Da hand held wrench ist woefully inadequate fur da tight ones. sm iiH!
  7. Took stiff longer to attach da rotor than to set da bridge. (stiff just kind of shook it and it all fell together?) Dat little dodad in the lower left ist part of the gear reduction and engages da click with da funny teeth on bottom? Has a fixed wheel on top and da free wheeling one on bottom and some sort of ratchet function? in between. stiff thinks dis may be problematic. It's da shame. Wid a little more design effort dis could have been da decent calibre. sm iiH! (no need to cngratulate stiff on da fine fotography)
  8. So you replaced da ETA 2824 wid da Seagull TY2130? Was da Seagull serviced before you installed it? sm iiH!
  9. stiff has been pouring over da Hangzhou technical service bulletins for da past 24 hours. Of course stiff speaks (nor reads) no Cantonese! Does dis look familiar 'Herr Seiko'? Dirt & cracked hole jewel? Maybe hygene? Maybe da bad point on da ratchet yoke? Vat do you think? sm iiH!
  10. Fountainmelon / Font / FHF Calibre 65 could have north of 65 "werking" rubis. sm iiH!
  11. Dis isn't usually da big problem and stiff vill try to help you! 1. Have you: a. had a birthday within da past year? b. ever been seen in da "fast food" joint? c. watched more than one season of da TV sitcom? d. ever had to buy larger sized clothes? 2. Do you have: a. da couch, sofa, davenport, recliner or simlar furniture? b. more than one remote control? c. more than one auto? e. a bicycle - with da oxidized chain? If you have answered ja to more than two (2) of da above, da uhren must be placed on da automatic winder and tested fur da gangreserve! sm iiH!
  12. Neither da hour, minute or second hand moves? And the balancier continues to oscillate? Verrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting . . . . . . . . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On da "conventional Swiss, anchor type train"(non-offset), if da moving zeiger are only da: minute and seconds hands - look fur da "raised" hour wheel or da damaged or dislodged minute wheel hour and seconds hands only - look fur da loose minute hand seconds hand - loose cannon pinion none and da werks ist still going - look fur da priest! sm iiH!
  13. Dis is correct! Why do you not show da Zigmeister da respect dat he ist due? sm iiH!
