  1. This is probably the best source of high quality rep Big Pilots:- http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=30_238
  2. If you like the square look and the thick hands then a Bell and Ross usually comes with a wide rubber strap.
  3. I like the IWC Big Pilot range. Nobody can miss them and at 46mm they are about as big as you can wear without looking strange. The leather straps are nice. Even the cheaper reps looking convincing without a close examination.
  4. I decided to get a Vacheron Constantin Historiques 1921 in the end. My brain struggles with the offset numbers. I call it my "it's not a late as you think" watch because with a casual glance is appears to be a hour later than it really is.
  5. Thanks guys,. Yep that's the one I saw. Glad I didn't dream it. I did a search and it's a Vacheron Constantin Novelties Historiques American 1921. I like it but don't know if I'd feel comfortable wearing one.
  6. A few months ago I was browsing a website and saw some watches where the numbers on the watch face were rotated clockwise about 45 degrees so the 12 was at the 1:30 position. The reason was so that, wearing it on the left hand, if you just glance at the watch, the 12 appears at the top. Now I've tried to find these again without success. Can anyone suggest which make and model I might have been looking at?
