  1. Perhaps by not having his head in the sand and actually LOOKING at reality through educated eyes. The US is so screwed it's not even funny.
  2. We need more women posing for "wrist shots"
  3. I'm not sure this has anything to do with Canada. Mail in Canada is delivered by "Canada Post" which has no affiliation with the "US Postal service", which is also known as "USPS". It could also be an additional surcharge levied by the Australian Post all on their own with nothng to do with the USA. UPS = united parcel service. This is the courier company with the brown and gold logos
  4. I too would love to hear some names. I'm in Ontario, and have a few automatic reps on the way which will no doubt need servicing one day.
  5. Just curious on everyone's thoughts. I like the classic blue face Seamaster and Seamaster chrono and am wondering what typical used ones in very good shape sell for? I stopped in at a store in Toronto, Canada that specilizes in pre-owned watches on the weekend and was surprised by some of their prices. Also, on each used piece they had posted a "list price" (price when new) as well as "their price" which I thought was a bit misleading - after all, these weren't discounted "new" watches, these were all pre-owned. There also wasn't always that much of a difference in price from "new". Given AD's probably work with a 40-50% margin on most brands I came away thinking I just looked at some VERY expensive "used" watches.
  6. I think I'm in the same boat as you, Tmkim. I'm looking for something "sporty" - that is not a rolex clone. I liked the blue face and dial, as well as the nice metal strap on the Omega SMP's. Wonder what else is out there? I'd prefer something right around 40mm. I do like the look of the Big Pilot, but at 47mm they are probably too big for my wrist.
  7. I say go for it. $108 is an excellent price - especially given that includes free shipping. There does not seem to be a lot of experience with watchEden around here. Someone has to start using them so we can get some feedback. If they don't come through, you have a whole forum full of help to get the problem sorted out, and your credit card company to back you up as a last resort
  8. Hmmm. I e-mailed her, but have not heard back. Is this par for the course?
  9. As a new member to these boards can anyone offer me feedback on either of these 2 replica dealer sites? They seem to sell exactly the same watch I am looking at, but with over a 20% difference in price.
  10. How do I find Mary? Even better- is it possible to post a direct link to the watch you are referring to?
  11. I think it's on Andrew's site? http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35_66&products_id=1387 I'm new to rep watches, but this one looks like a pretty accurate one to me. Was hoping the price would be closer to $200 than $300 though
  12. Thank you very much for the tips! Anywhere you can send me for these 2 variants ?
  13. You would love to have a Joshua?
  14. May I ask what Breitling reps are available that you would categorize as a "super rep"? I am trying to decide between a Breitling, Omega Seamaster and IWC Big Pilot to wear as an everyday sport watch. Any "super reps" available of these last 2 I listed? I am a little put off by the problems I have read about with the 7750 movements (re: being careful setting time and using chrono to not strip gears) so one that uses a different movement would probably be preferred by me.
  15. As the topic asks - who is the best source for a Big Pilot rep? I was thinking either an all-black one or black or grey dial with stainless case. Looking for something well built and reasonable accurate.
