How are the hands on the 63 ompared to the gen? I've been considering buying OEM hands from andrew on ebay or getting custom hands from davidsen. I wanted to know if there were any visual differenes worth upgrading. Thanks

I have a gen breitling headwind and I get the most compliments on that one than out of all my watches. it is beautiful to look at with the double antireflective coating on the crystal. It seems as if there is no crystal at all. I love it!

I had a similar date sticking problem with the first swiss 196 from river. He quickly exchanged it and everything has worked fine since. Hopefully it is something as simple as a malaligned datewheel. I love my watch and now even more with the new davidsen hands,minus the chrono sub dials. I am one of those people that want everything to work properly. It would drive me crazy otherwise. so......I had to push the button, repeatedly

I don't think so. I bought the watch in January from River.

Hey guys, I just got my pam 196 which has the 7753 movement water tested and it passed at 99ft. He didn't test any deeper but said I didn't need it and didn't think I was going to go diving with it He tested it right in front of me in a bergeon(?) water pressure tester. It was pretty cool. In any case, it was water resistant without any mods and the seals were in good shape and nicely greased. I didn't think the chronograph models were water resistant but I was pleasantly wrong. By the way, I have the older pam 196 with 7753 from River.

Well guys, good and bad news. I was able to get the hour and minute hands installed but the local repair guy said the subdial hands could not be fit without being modified. He said something about the subdial hands would fit a 7750 movement but not a 7753. hm........ I don't know yet if i got the wrong set of subdial hands but I will get back to you after contacting davidsen. I also had the seals checked and had it water tested. Good news! it was tested to 99ft and it passed with flying colors! He said the seals looked good and already had silicone nicely done already although he applied some more anyway. The hour and minute hands look very gen. Here are the pics!

That looks like a very interesting watch. I am very tempted to jump. Too bad the're aren't any good JLC reverso watch reps out there. That will be my next OEM purchase. Unless a very, very good rep comes out of course.

hey guys, I just got the new davidsen hands for my pam 196 with 7753 movement. Just looking at the hour and minute hands, the price was definitely worth it. They look laser cut like the OEM. I'm at work right now so I will post pics later after i get them installed tomorrow

I'm still waiting for mine from eddie as well. The anticipation is killing me........slowly

Okay guys, I finally got fed up with my crown guard and ordered a Jimmy grown guard for my soon to arrive pam 63. I'll post pics when I get the watch and the crown guard. I'll wait to see how the mag and crown look when I get the watch to see if I can live with it. Too bad Jimmy doesn't have crown guards for my pam 196. I'll be getting davidsen hands for the 196 hopefully this week. I'll post pics on how they look. Too many things goin on this week!

So does this mean watches probably won't ship until next week? I can't wait

I was just wondering if it was possible to transplant an OEM crown and guard into a rep if they use the same movement. I am asking for pam 196 with 7753 and a pam 63 with 2893. Thanks

Yeah, I'm pretty excited myself. I've been debating on purchasing OEM hands for this watch off ebay from Andrew. Decisions, decisions.......

Thanks Rob for doing a review on davidsenjen's hands, I ordered a set of hands for my pam 196 with 7753 movement and am eagerly waiting for it's arrival. I hope the shape of the hands look more like OEM than the rep hands. david

I was thinking of ordering davidsen's complete hand set for my pam 196 with 7753 mvnt. Everybody knows how the rep hour and minute hands look cheap and rounded unlike the flat laser cut look of the OEM. I was wondering if hands made for the 7750 would fit the 196 with 7753. Any help would be appreciated as well as any first hand experience with the look of davidsen's hands(watch hands, that is) java script:emoticon('', 'smid_6') Thanks!
