  1. I saw different versions of the Yacht-Master, even gens, with and without rehault engraving. There are two different versions of the same watch, or only one version is correct? And my second question is about the SA3135 movement. Is it unreliable? I heard some people talking bad things about it... At least is any better than the other known ticking bomb from the IWC Portuguese, for example?
  2. So you say that maybe those watches were not sealed too well, or I simply had bad luck...or what?
  3. I had two watches in the past with white dial and blue painted numbers (the IWC F.A. Jones and the Sinn 6100 Regulateur), and both of them had this problem - the blue painted numbers/letters started to wear off quickly after I bought them. Can you explain me why? Does the blue colour wears off more quickly than the other colours? Or it's just about the model of the watch, some models are crafted more poorer than others, for example... Or which should be the cause? Did this thing ever happened to you? Which of your watches had this problem? Is it the exposure in strong natural light, the differences in temperature, or what else can cause this?
  4. Do you know any complicated quartz watch, with complications like those from the Urwerk automatic watches or any other complicated watch? I saw a very nice quartz watch set to be launched soon - the Citizen Appleseed XII, but it seems it will have a discouraging price... So, if you know any kind of complicated watches based on a quartz core, and priced under 1k, just let me know. Thanks.
  5. Mike, all that I know is that I love Lanikai's watch. LOL. Should I come to the conlusion that his watch hasn't an accurate dial? Is it different from the watch you posted in those pics? Thanks.
  6. I asked the dealers. They said that IWC hasn't ever officially sold a cream dial version, only silver dial with gold hands, so I guess this is the version from Lanikai's review. What worries me though, is the fact that Lanikai watch had a brown strap, while all the dealers are selling the silver dial/gold hands version along with a black strap...
  7. I found this model: http://www.replicamake88.com/products/BG05011-BREGUET-JUBILEE-TOURBILLON-4109-SS-LEATHER-FLYING-TOURBILLON.html I saw that it probably has a chinese Seagull tourbillon movement. Can anyone tell me how reliable are these movements? I mean, how do they keep time, worse or better than a high beat 7750? Do they need servicing before start to wear them? Is it true that they have a limited life cycle of 1-2 years? And regarding the replication...are there any obvious flaws? I think that the only flaw is the wrong reference number from the dial, but maybe I'm wrong... Any Breguet/tourbillons expert insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Thanks! It seems that it's the silver dial / gold hands version, but Lani, in his thread, describes his watch as "Cream (Champagne) dial / gold markers and hands". That's why I still have some doubts...
  9. The first one has a cream dial, the second has a silver dial. I'm puzzled...
  10. Thanks, but the question was, which version is the one which was reviewed by Lanikai in this thread: ? It was this one: http://www.asian7750.com/cn/product_show.asp?big_pid=&ps_id=111&P_id=575&ti= or this one: http://www.asian7750.com/cn/product_show.asp?big_pid=&ps_id=111&P_id=574&ti=. ?
  11. I found these amazing Portofinos on Hont's website, but I didn't understand a thing about the colour of the dial, even if I read the whole thread twice. LOL. So, Lani, please tell me what version is your watch from these two: http://www.hontwatch.com/productdetails_2363.html or this one: http://www.hontwatch.com/productdetails_2362.html ??? So the cream/gold or white/gold? Please help me because I don't want to buy the wrong version. Yours was the best looking dress watch I've ever seen...
  12. I'm interested too, to find the answer at this question. Anyone can help?
  13. I found an old review of the IWC Portofino here, on this forum - and there was reviewed a 44 mm Portofino, while the dealers are selling these days only a 42 mm version, as far as I know. So, the genuine IWC Portofino is 42 mm or 44 mm? And if I'd like to buy the bigger version, do I have any chance to find it anywhere?
  14. I wonder the same thing. Where did you find the 44 mm dial version, because I only can find the 42 mm version at the dealers, these days...
