Actually, we grant the people owning these sites a special status by which they "own" their subfora and are responsible for keeping them updated.
*sigh*
Guess how often it happens?

I still think the band sucks but its usable
You think that band is cheap, you should feel a genuine 7206 riveted band. It feels like it's made of folded tinfoil. Astoundingly thin, cheap, weak, unbelievable that they'd put that on a tool dive watch at the Rolex factory.

Guess I'm building a 1680
A 1680 with a domed crystal is pretty darn nice. Forget the crazy top hat!-

Welcome aboard! It's a shame that doesn't have a transparent caseback, that's one pretty movement.

If you can't find an Oris crown, you can always buy a generic here and fit it yourself. As long as the stem threads work you should be able to find something pretty close to the original.

Let me add, be exceedingly careful doing so. The Yuki ring is a snug fit to prevent the movement from sliding around and it's easy to break it in half at the slot as you press it in place. Pricey little buggers.

I guess for me, if money was truly no question, then I wouldn't do it, because it wouldn't mean anything. It's like taking your next breath, you have an unlimited supply of air to draw from, so the next breath isn't worth anything. But if you're 300' down and your hose got cut, your next breath is incredibly valuable.
My pieces all mean something because they represent someone or something bigger than life. They evoke good times past, they're not just watches.

Oh, one of the Moderators forgot to lock the liquor cabinet again and now they're all floating around in the staff pool with rubber duckies seeing if their watches are really waterproof.
Some member figured out the password to the staff pool webcam and now he's selling day passes to let people stream the antics.
In other words, another normal day around here. So, Who Makes the Best Sub????

But..... how am I going to get my Land Rover in an envelope?

@Nanuq please don’t let your 6536 fall into the hands of someone like PS at RPR. Find it a good home when the time comes.
When the time comes? What time? You mean I'm not going to live forever?!
This brings up a good question. Many years ago Land Rover bought the rights to the Buick Fireball V8 engine. My 1963 Land Rover still has the original cast iron engine, but what if I transplanted the "Buick" V8 into the old Rover? Is it still a Rover, even though I've replaced its heart? What if I dropped a small block Ford V8 in there?
In my mind, it's still a Rover. I could take the V8 back out and nobody would ever know I'd done it. I guess it all comes down to being honest about our creations?

Can you load simulations? You should try an approach to Deadhorse Alaska, during.... oh let's say January. Pick a windy day.![](https://emoji.tapatalk-cdn.com/emoji15.png)
