  2. I still think the band sucks but its usable

You think that band is cheap, you should feel a genuine 7206 riveted band. It feels like it's made of folded tinfoil. Astoundingly thin, cheap, weak, unbelievable that they'd put that on a tool dive watch at the Rolex factory.
  3. I guess for me, if money was truly no question, then I wouldn't do it, because it wouldn't mean anything.  It's like taking your next breath, you have an unlimited supply of air to draw from, so the next breath isn't worth anything.  But if you're 300' down and your hose got cut, your next breath is incredibly valuable.

My pieces all mean something because they represent someone or something bigger than life.  They evoke good times past, they're not just watches.

  4. Oh, one of the Moderators forgot to lock the liquor cabinet again and now they're all floating around in the staff pool with rubber duckies seeing if their watches are  really  waterproof.

Some member figured out the password to the staff pool webcam and now he's selling day passes to let people stream the antics.

In other words, another normal day around here.  So, Who Makes the Best Sub????

@Nanuq please don’t let your 6536 fall into the hands of someone like PS at RPR. Find it a good home when the time comes.

When the time comes?  What time?  You mean I'm not going to live forever?!   :bangin:

This brings up a good question.  Many years ago Land Rover bought the rights to the Buick Fireball V8 engine.  My 1963 Land Rover still has the original cast iron engine, but what if I transplanted the "Buick" V8 into the old Rover?  Is it still a Rover, even though I've replaced its heart?  What if I dropped a small block Ford V8 in there?

In my mind, it's still a Rover.  I could take the V8 back out and nobody would ever know I'd done it.  I guess it all comes down to being honest about our creations?
