This is the Cartel Big Crown
I find the case in no way inferior to the Silix to be honest.
Takes the same parts as the Silix case does and I'm 90% positiv it's actually the same case as Silix ETA version, just more expensive.
(A & J are always more expensive)
Both dials need work and aren't exactly 1:1

Apart from being quartz - but no seconds hand.
I find them rather nice looking, but I've never researched the gen to be honest.
How do you like it?
Could look great on a nice gator strap.
Is it a good rep in your eyes?

? The 16030 and 1016 use a 6mm Twinlock crown for a 6mm tube, a 16200 and later use a 6mm crown for a 5,3mm tube, or what do you mean ? It would be new to me that there is a crown that is only used for 1016s.
You got it right.
This 16200 came with a 5300 tube and a 24-604 crown.
The 1016 uses a 6000 tube and a 24-600 crown. Late models might have a 603.
I exchanged crown and tube to a period correct version.
That is what Lo' meant

Perfect!
Though I liked the service plexi just fine...as long as it was on my wrist

Some watches are in better shape then the day they left the Rolex factory in the 70's

Lawrence has been in the business for years...one of the old timers. I've bought from him on several occasions years ago.
Anyways, generally he has nothing you can't also get from any other trusted dealer of this website.

Yeah some pretty rough stuff up there.
I like how straight forward Phillipe is.
All these years I thought...mhm.. Nbtimes really has some nice stuff for sale. Never knew about his "insider" reputation.
On the other hand, there is no doubt, a fair amount of excellent sellers on there. Jacek striking me as one of the best.
Clear photos, serial, detailed information and all.
But I've also dealt with total [censored] up there. Which is easy for them, since on VRF it's frowned upon to call anyone out.

I like it very much CC!
Great stuff!
Demsey came in late and posted something I'll never forget.
Where the [censored] is Dems btw?
I haven't seen him around in years.

Donerix 2.0, on 18 May 2012 - 04:57, said:
IMHO: The Puretime case is a good way to start and it comes with the proper numbers on the case, an acceptable movement with roulette date wheel and a fairly decent stretch-rivet bracelet.
Here is a comparison shot with a gen case (on top):
The bezel is from NDT, which is a bit expensive, but JoeyB has a great alternative for the insert ...In my opinion the "budget" version is also quite nice:
PT case (shave the wokky rehaut like Donerix did)
Joey's bezel
gen 24-600
Ken's hands
Snip those dial feet Ingod dial
and you're good to go!

I asked Nanuq to remove both of my posts via PM.
Sorry if he didn't do it yet.

Just wanted openly apologize for my joke.
Didn't mean no harm.
Take care

Mhm, DW's crown won't fit a A7750 stem? The A7750 stem is 0.9 standard.
All my previous DW crowns did take the normal stem...
So I just checked and yes, that guy's right. The DW crown does not take a 0.9 but a 1.2 stem I'd say
Weird rep world...

Well, PM me if you like. Explain were you want to go with the Daytona case.
I might have a spare tube and crown for the DW case. Otherwise get a aftermarket tube and a gen crown.
I can also check for a handset in my parts drawer, since I don't believe denimhead has any spare ones left.
Thanks Akira, I greatly appriciate your imput on this. By the way you should have mentioned the issue with the dial, happy to help you out in anyway on that.
Don't sweat it. As I said it wasn't a problem for me

I bought one of the case sets + a dial from the same sales thread of Denimhead.
Case is the same as I expected. Same as any DW case set for A7750.
The dial was the usual 6239 silver dial with 2 small scratches on one subdial. This wasn't described in the sales, but Denimhead could
have easily missed it, since I only noticed it on a much much closer look.
Never bothered to contact him though, since the price was more than fair and I had plans with the subdial already.
I've bought from Denimhead again a few weeks later - item as described.
I don't know him as a guy who would intentionally hide something from a buyer.
my 2 cents

much obliged

cc,
would you mind sharing a pic or two of the bracelet attached with DW's 571's?
I have a couple of gen 7835 and 7205's that need fitting endlinks.
Thanks

Afaik J istn't doing watch work at the moment!

1016 dials would kill and sell like hot cupcakes!
Also everything gilt would be a big seller since those aren't as well replicates in my eyes.
