Now we need someone to drug Akira and get the formula for making the dials go "chocolate" so believably.
If everything works out - I will present you a silver 6239 dial with tropical subdials - then you'll go bananas!
Since A's watches have greatly inspired me, I went and purchased an Anthaya crown and tube. I'm now looking for someone to drill and tap for me so I can install it. The crown/tube really makes a huge difference. Keep up the good work Akira! Thanks mate, and yes the A's brevet crown is great value and makes a huge difference.
Thanks, aeromatic - looking forward to your build!

Maybe a member has one he doesn't need.
Otherwise I'll buy one from ebay.
Thanks

.....value used......$250.00
I recently saw one going for a bit less than $200 on VRF.
If you are eager to sell it, list it on VRF for $250 and if nobody bites slowly reduce it....

Called your bank yet?

No kidding. Akira, you caught the look of a gen chocolate dial just right. It's not a homogeneous color; just like your dial, the brown is darker and lighter in places.
Nicely done!
Thanks
If I recall correctly, then you own a chocolate 1675 right?
-
I lost a marker on mine
If you have an Explorer 1 dial to spare, I'd take it...
-
CC, thanks for the kind words
Onscreen you got PM.
For the record - The 1030 caliber used in the 6536/8 beats at 18,000 bph.
So a 21,600 bph 21J movement brings you pretty close - sweep wise

I understand. I just can't seem to find a 6mm Twinlock.
Something like this?
-
In that case it's 1:1 with the gen
You know there is no 1:1 in the replica world...
-
is this a rep pdf?
I'm not sure, but I believe it's the one I got from you back on RWG1.1 - could that be?
-
F, that last one is really superb. Well done!
Thanks M.
I'm hoping to finish a personal project today, before getting back to a busy schedule of real work

Is there any resolution to the problem in sight?
-
Same here... Error on delete. Btw, the book is great! Thanks again!
Glad you like it, mate.
Since I'm reluctant to post my email openly, you guys will have to wait until the PM thingy is sorted.

Stunning photography!
The watches are yummy as well
-
Select the PM using the checkboxes on the right then select the "delete" from the dropdown list in the bottom right corner and hit the Go button? it worked for me.
I am familiar with the concept, however like others I get a fatal error.
-
Same here - Error message all over my browser.

To you too Wolf!Happy Christmas, thank you Akira!P.S. You inbox is full
I noticed that, but the board software doesn't allow me to delete any PMs.
Maybe a Mod can chime in...

Thanks a lot Automatico,
Yeah by "tige" I refer to the stem...
I've been really clumsy but I somehow succeeded in re-opening the bridge by pushing the button with a very small object. I can now fit the stem inside the movement but, when I try pushing the button again with the same small bar, the bridge won't close.
Consequently the stem freely slides off the movement; the seconds hand still moves but the minute/hour hands stand still... I have not tried anything else for fear of causing more damage...
Any other advice?
Send it to someone who knows what he's doing. Get it modded and aged and the same time too

Thanks for weighing in Akira!
What would you do in this case? Work on the installed dial and apply a vintage patina to it or get a new one (service one that is)?
Due the "lack" of overall accuracy - I'd take the installed dial, give it some patina and remove the "SUPER PRECISION" text.
Gen crown, aftermarket plexi and you are good to go!
Are the lugholes accepting gen springbars? If not drill them out and you are golden.
