Yes, this one turned out really nice.
I'll eventually get the correct OP Caseback.
For now It'll have the display back.... the Hamilton's too nice to cover up.
A real Gen crown too maybe, something about the T48... seems like its beveled and not totally squared off.
Just wanted to share my new Franken 001/111

Hi,
Anyone here own a Gen 111 with the sandwhich dial?
I'd be interested in seeing what the case looks like. Lug shape, length and if it has a strap dimple/notch.
There's been talk about PreV / PreA cases and what to look for.... how about more recent Pams.
So if there's a Gen owner that wouldn't mind taking pics, It would be much appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!!
I just received this exact case.... it's actually not tooo bad for $40.
Its probably not correct for a Pre-V since it does have the notch for the strap, but it'll be good for other models.
I finally got a DSN dial to fit without having to trim/shave the dial.
Overall the case looks good, only draw back is that it has a glass crystal.
CG looks nice and polished, and the crown looks to be a copy of DSNs crowns (looks real close) and its SPRING LOADED!!
The caseback is unbranded... not as well made as the JimmyzFu casebacks though.
EL was great! I sold an EL Pam 111 F/G w the painted dial last year and have regretted it since.
Now still in search for another one to get it back.....
I agree... a V CG is a must for that awesome dial!! And eventually a T-48 crown if T decides to make them.
Hows the availability of the dial? Seems like your the only one that has one.
Dont do it.... You can only use thin dials on Ruby's 036 case.
Your 112 dial is a lot thicker and might result in some metal scrapping that'll end up on the movement.
Why not swap the CGs with your gen zero? A Jimmy case with your zero cg would make a good combo for a 112G... since you're also looking for a rep base.
Post pics of your gen zero too please..
