  1. It's hard to tell from your dark pics and the seller's small pics, but if all the text on the bracelet is stamped and none appear to be etched, then it's a replica. Now, if they are indeed a combination of stamped (STEELINOX, REGISTERED SWISS MADE) and etched (93150, T6 (June 1995 date code), S (service indicator)) then the only problem maybe that the bracelet is a franken; the bracelet should match the clasp code.

  2. I never said she was a drop-shipper. Yes, she goes out and finds the watches, but she does little to test them out before shipping them.

Mary is one of the original "personal shopper" type dealers, who goes out and hand-picks watches for you from the watch bazaar. To call her a drop-shipper is the height of absurdity. She pioneered "QC photos" back when a cartel dealer would tell you to drop dead if you asked for a picture. Really now; come on.

  3. 1) 2836 is your best bet.

    2) try and find a gen Rolex 160xx model case (like a 16014, 16030 etc...)

    3) eBay. There's a few DateJust dials on eBay for $100-ish.

All you would need is a movement holder and date-wheel overlay.

    Hey guys.

I want to build a DateJust franken. I have a few questions though.

1)What movement am I looking to buy?

2)Will any rep case work? or are there problems with them like with all other rolex models.

3)Where do people get their gen dials? almost all the ones I see on the bay are ladies.

I think i've already got hold of a gen Plexi, O-ring, tube + crown + hands (minute+hour), and possibly a case.

    Cheers,

    -R
