It's a v1.5 from George, is it difficult to remove and adjust the bezel? I searched for info on how to do it and came up with nothing.
-
@pollux, my original question was stupid as this explorer doesn't have a GMT hand... which one is it that does? Also, this is the watch I think that will be my 'reward' purchase with my first paycheck from my new job lol
naa i have to say i think it will be this one...http://www.jpc8118.com/rlss10010-beginmariner-asia-2813-free-shipping-p-2304.html
That's a great watch for the money Spider, check with Josh if you can get a high beat version though, for the smooth sweep.

Not sure how you define common but yes.
Thanks for the reply FM, can it be fixed or am I stuck with it? None of my other watches with rotating bezels suffer from this.

@pollux, lol random post their m8
That watch is a good starter rep, cheap, decent quality and hard to get called out on.

Those classic Rollies age so well, wear it in good health!

I have a PT Sub that was delivered with the bezel feeling slightly loose in places, when I rotate it it's fine in some spots but at others on the way round it feels too loose, is this common?
-
Any ladies contemplating a watch? have a look at the Rolex explorer 1, excellent value at Josh's site with free shipping and a high beat movement, I would tend to stay away from the ETA version unless it was guaranteed to be so, in fact it's a great first buy for anyone. Of course it's a man's watch but the size suits women well too.

Please could admin find a way of stopping newbs using the shoutbox as a search tool?

You can get a second hand Speedmaster Pro. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Ditto too on a used speedmaster, it's a quality watch that should last a long time.

Me thinks this thread has some potential.
Gens or reps? That green one looks suspect... "2" on the calculator is misaligned.
The rehaut on numbers one two and three is wokky

I do hope the man in China who reverse engineered the HBB was qualified to do so

Thanks for the reply Robbie, I've checked Ebay UK but nothing there at the moment.

Does anyone know where I could pick up a used gen dial for an IWC GST Ti? Thank you!

Congratulations to you and your family, my youngest son is three now and I can still remember the sleepless nights lol!

Is it me or do the members of this board display more knowledge generally on watches? Also the TZ site is vastly insuperior to this site

Such an informative read, thank you Robbie!

It's been said many times, if the case and bracelet are correct, modding will sort the rest out. SOME DEALER MUST HAVE THE SWAY TO GET A CORRECT SMP CASE MADE!!!!

I was aware of that thread blue_sphere, thank goodness.

I too am interested in finding an engraved rotor for a Hublot, also does anyone know where/how to fix the sawtooth rotor problem?

Bk, your clear concise instructions worked! I managed to get the bezel off, cleaned it and after much fiddling got it reassembled, that spring is a nightmare lol. It now rotates evenly but still a bit loose, will a file such as you described cure that problem? I certainly won't mind having a go at filing it thanks to your advice!
