Totally OT, but you mentioned mango salsa and my mouth started watering because it made me think of "Puka Dogs". I like mine spicy w/ mango relish and lilikoi mustard. Have you had one Lani?
I've had them at the original store (actually more of a stand) in the Poipu Shopping Village on Kauai, but I understand there is one in Waikiki now.
Guess I'm just a big homo then, cuz I also watch Football on Sunday and Hockey in the winter.
BTW - Sorry to disagree, but I don't think Stephanie Rice is all that hot.
Which is exactly why I haven't bought one yet. I know if I do, it's going to end up being a money pit.
I joined here a few years ago just looking to find a nice submariner. I was happy with it for about a year, but now I'm buying and modding...
I got a fever...and the only cure?...more watches...
Hey...me too.
I was watching last night and they showed his coach who was wearing a 45.5 black PO on leather. I immediately went to my favorite collector and started looking for this watch. I've almost bought the UPO several times, but have been able to resist...so far.
I'm gettin' close!!
Thank you sir...I think the CG takes the watch to a whole other level. Even more so in person than in pix.
I just can't wait 'til November when Zig does his magic!!
Got my hands on a V 1:1 CG from member porche356a (thanks man) and just got it installed on my 111h project watch.
You may have noticed the bony croc strap. It's from panatime. Here's a better shot of the strap.
Next up... DSN sapphire crystal currently out with chief for double AR. Haven't decided if it will stay double or if I'll strip the outer layer.
and in November it goes to The Zigmeister for lume and canon pinion fix.
Oh, and also a t crown when they are available.
Thanks for looking.
Don't get me wrong, I agree 100%.
When I was talking about investing in equipment, I was talking about a light box. The comment about buying a cheaper camera was an attempt at a little self deprecating humor.
I understand photography pretty well and I know whats lacking in my watch shots. I just haven't had the time to work on a solution.
P.S. While it's not my main source of income, I have a side gig shooting the Colorado Rapids MLS team for an on-line soccer magazine. Totally different type of photography.
Maybe that's my problem...I have WAAAY too much money invested in camera and glass. Maybe I should go and buy a cheapo point-n-shoot to do the watch stuff.
Thanks for the complement (I think ).
I've already resigned myself to the fact that I will never be able to take the quality of shots that the masters on this site post (and you are right up at the top of the list), but I'm actually quite the photography buff. I do mostly sports and landscapes, but one of these days, I'll have to invest in the gear to shoot watches.
I'm still trying to recover form the sports lens I bought last year!!
Since it appears the original TZ post is down, I figured I'd follow magagne's lead and show a little SSD love myself.
Sorry By-Tor
Sorry for the thread jack Leifhaus.
Welcome marky. A good place to start would be andreww's excellent guide to navitimers.

There is a TON of wonderful information in these forums, just search it out and read, read, read.
But be extremely careful. Rep watches are like crack, one hit and you're hooked.
Got them from http://www.fdjtool.com/category.aspx?categoryID=948
Thanks for the link Heywood.
These things are AWESOME!! Can't believe how crappy my ebay specials feel now.
$89.95 for the set in a wooden box (box differs from the fdjtool picture slightly, but is the same as in stilty's review.)
Shipping was fast too. Got 'em in less than a week using the cheapest ground transportation from FLA to CO.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Pretty cool, but the watch on the link is still missing another new feature...The roller CG lever.
Notice on Rolli's pix the end of the lever where it contacts the crown? I would love to see that on a rep probably more so than the quick release strap, but that would mean they would have to get the crown/CG mounting correct at the factory. I have never had a PAM rep that didn't need some massaging to get it right.
I'd really like to see both new features before I'd buy.
