  1. Then I guess the Super Avenger might be a better option for you my friend ;-) I also did not have the opportunity to test it out prior to ordering one. What's the quality of the bracelet like? Is it very 'shiny'?
  2. Indeed, very cool link - highly interesting. Thanks for sharing!
  3. I find it very nice! The AR is awesome... really get that "where's the crystal" feeling... Regarding the size, I am happy that it wears smaller than expected. I expected it to be much larger, and would it have looked larger on my wrist I would've probably sold it again. I have a 7 inch wrist. Used to have a UPO 45mm, and because of the lugs I found it too large for my wrist (even though everyone told me it wasn't too large). However, the Skyland is perfect, even though its a lot thicker. I guess it's all about personal preferences. Personally I prefer watches that are thick but not over 45mm, such as Skyland, DSSD, etc. Also, I like the Skyland much more on a strap than bracelet. Particularly on the ocean racer rubber strap What dial did you get? I love the grey dial, but I have a black one. Probably will switch to a grey dial sometime in the future
  4. Good choice I've recently purchased one myself and I love it! I do not know of any guides but maybe this one could help: Again, I am no expert and not sure about this, but it might help Good luck!
  5. Oh yeah, I always go with the trusted dealers if I do not search the sales section's here. I sure will, this is my first rep with chrono's so thanks for the tip!
  6. OK. Thanks. So this is not necessarily a movement issue then. Because all the chronos reset as they should. Thanks again!
  7. Hi guys, I have a question regarding the Skyland Avenger hands. I am about to buy one and below is the picture I've received (the one with the blue dial). As you can see, the red hand resets at about 99.2-99.3 and not at 100 as in the other picture (grey dial version). Now I am not sure what this means, is this a movement issue? i.e. it needs servicing. Or, do you just need to be lucky meaning that some rep Skyland Avengers come ilke the one with the blue dial, and some as the grey dial. Because I've seen on many trusted dealers' websites both 'versions'. I've searched around the forum but couldn't really find an answer that pinpointed this problem. I hope you guys can help me out. Cheers!
  8. Thanks for the suggestions guys However I spent my money on another rep, so I will wait a little while to improve the lume on my UPO. Still not decided whether to relume or buy gen dials & hands, leaning towards relume though....
  9. I'm currently writing through my phone and have quite bad internet connection, but check the link that Jkay posted. There is a 21j version for about 50-60 dollars
  10. Thank you so much for the tip! I will definitely give it a try And regarding the lume, I did of course try it out in a completely dark room. Still, it was significantly decreased after only 5-6 minutes. If I'm not mistaken it was almost completely gone within 10 minutes. But hey, you get what you pay for! Thanks again for the tip!
  11. Hi guys, I received my order from timesshop the other day. I can't comment yet on how it works as I haven't tested it for a longer time. So far I am satisfied with the timesshop, and Jamie (the one I emailed with) replied kindly and fast on every email. Shipping was fast (about a week or so) and service was good. However, I didn't really like the watch as much as I expected, but my gf did so she got it. Personally, I think the bracelet wasn't of high quality. Although it's stainless steel it kind of had that plastic feeling about it. And I suppose there are better rep bracelets as my watch was very inexpensive. Anyways I'll add some pictures so anyone that wants to buy from timesshop knows what it looks like. Btw, the lume on the pictures is pretty good but it does NOT last long. On my pictures I had the watch under a lamp for about 10-15 seconds, but the lume disappeared within a couple of minutes. Let me know if anyone wants any more info
  12. So far, so good for me. The payment process was very smooth as well as the customer service so far. It was sent very fast, hopefully it will arrive fast and as in expected condition as well. I'll let everyone know.
  13. Hehe yeah after spending a few hours on the forum and the search engine I realized that hehe
  14. I just saw the Zigmeister apparently can fix this. I'll send him a PM. As far as I understand his work is of high quality?
  15. Hi guys, I have a UPO 45.5mm and I am very pleased with it. However, what bugs me a bit is its very poor lume. What's the procedure if I would like a bright lume on it, do I have to buy gen dial/hands or is there someone anybody can recommend that can relume the hands and dials that already are on the watch? (EU preferred!) Do you maybe know also how much it would set me back? Thanks for your help!
  16. OK. I have read the comments about him and it seems very nice. I will definitely go for the ETA version. Thank you so much for your tip jkay!
  17. Wow! Those prices did happily shock me! :-) You have any first hand experience from Times Shop, or you know the through the trusted dealer section at RWI? Thanks once again!
  18. Hi guys, another noob here! I am looking into buying a Rolex Submariner and I have seen some at Joshua's site. I've read for a couple of days now about rep Rolexes here at the forum and I am aware that BK is the man to go to if you want a really good one. However, unfortunately, I do not have enough money to buy one from BK - but will definitely do it once I have more cash Anyways, the watch I found is an inexpensive one -> http://www.1-pc8838.com/00rlss01101-2008-submariner-black-asian-2813-p-8998.html (the one for $138). He has an identical one but with Swiss ETA 2836-2 movement, however this one is almost $200 more expensive. So I have two questions that I would very much appreciate if someone could help me out with, as the search function did not help me with this. 1. How "crappy" must the Asian 2813 movement be, if the identical watch costs approx. $200 more with the Swiss ETA 2836-2 movement? Or is actually solid? 2. How well made is this watch? Obviously, it's not an "ultimate version" and will not fool a trained eye (not saying that the ultimate version will either). But how about an untrained? hehe. Is the sub for $138 worth the money or should I wait instead to get one from BK? I think after some time I will buy one from BK anyways, but now as a noob I might settle with Joshua's cheap one if it's a solid rep. Thank you guys. I really appreciate your help!
  19. How much do you want for it (including shipping costs)? Any pictures? Thanks!
  20. Then I think you were looking a 7750 movements. The watch I ordered is not on the website, I emailed her and asked for specifically that watch instead. However, as I recall it the same watch but with black bezel is at the website for the similar price. I'll try to find it and I'll send you the link. But still, contacting Mary is probably the best :-)
  21. This one would set you back USD 208. However, I think she has different versions with varying prices :-)
  22. Here are some pictures in daylight. Obviously this is what I am looking for :-) Other opinions about the watch, everything else seems fine? Thank you guys for your comments :-)
  23. Here are the pics. I spoke to Mary and she told me the logo is in fact not black, it is just light reflecting because she's in the dark. She'll send me new photos in 10hrs when its noon time. What do you guys think? I don't doubt Mary at all and she's been extremely helpful and I really recommend her. What are your opinions otherwise on the watch? Thanks guys
  24. Hi guys. I just received the QC pics but I think Mary misunderstood me and sent me a UPO with black omega logo, but I was looking for one with a lighter/silver omega logo. I can still post the pictures if you want?
