So nobody here wears normal Levi's... The working man's jeans Not all this fashion crap..
Yup...I do.
Levis 501 and 505 for fit...and 550 for comfort....with a few pairs of Tommy H too
And vintage Girbaud is by far my favorite for fit and durability.
(not the latest saggy. baggy, fireman lookin' versions out there.)

Rehaut engraving says...fake...and a poor one at that

LMPO has a closed caseback
Are you sure about that ?
-
Looks gen to me.
Like a 16800/early 16610 tritium "Flat 4" insert.
Nothing uncommon or "ultra-rare" about it.
(though it also looks to me like someone has swapped pearls at some point.)

Always a man of great taste and style.
Congrats brother....looks great

Great reading.
Funny...yet so true.
This friggin' hobby can and "will" consume you....if you let it.
.....it "is" an addiction....in every cents of the word

Looks great.
As for the winding while screwing into locking position: it shouldn't hurt anything.
....maybe pull the stem and make certain the overall length of the stem/crown is 19.2mm...or is it 19.4 ??

I have my gen 93250 on my bk. its ok but a tc v3 fits perfectly.
on your BK what Brother?

I never got scammed. I've never been stupid enough to ship anything of value to a complete stranger just because a forum full of people say " Oh he's a great guy ". I assisted in recovering personal info and posted it. Then got admonished for it. That's the inconsistenc
wow

For what it's worth I attempted fitting a gen 93250 SEL to a WM9 v3 a couple years back and it didn't fit....too tight.
At that time I wasn't willing to shave the insides of the lugs on a v3 case and I certainly wasn't willing to shave the gen SEL.
This is just from my experience....well all know the slight variations and inconsistencies in dimensions that are common with rep/aftermarket parts.
................so it's a gamble....but it didn't work for me.

If that's a rep seconds hand it's by far the best looking pointer I've ever seen

The 16610 Submariner is the Rolex "icon".
Mention Rolex and people automatically think Submariner.
I'm not a huge fan of the "chunky, bulkiness" of the 116610's or any of the new ceramic line by Rolex.
I'm a staright up 16800/16610 fan.
But IMHO the 2201.50 Omega (42mm Planet Ocean) is twice the watch the 16610 is and about half the price.
And "alot" less than half the price when going Franken status with a PO.
Impressed when handed a Brietling SF...I should think so. AWESOME timepiece
I had more notice with interest from the v5 42mm PO (stock) when I had one over that of the 16800 Submariner (all gen with the exception of the midcase)

Hmmmm...that's not a rep serial number that I know of.
But the case back, dial and bezel look rep to me.
-
Try hitting it lightly with Cape Cod afterwards.
But don't rub too hard or it'll have your brushed finish looking polished.
-
Looks to me like the pearl has been re-affixed at some point.
Better pics of the pearl front would help.
-
Beautiful looking collection Brother.
Well done.
And I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the "project" you're currently working on

Me too

Hi,
Concerning the insert he himself recommends to go for gen.
But I was thinking that maybe the best combination will be:
Sean case/bezel
TC Dial/hands/V3 bracelet
Gen crown, tube, insert, crystal
Any opinions?
IIMHO the Sean case primarily targets the Super Franken builders (gen or clone 3135 mvt, gen dial, hands, crystal, crown, tube etc.)
If you're not planning to use a clone or gen 3135, gen dial and hands I think you'll do better cost-wise sticking to a TC and adding gen crystal and insert
And yes....gen crystals and inserts make a huge difference and are well worth the cost and the trouble.

Definitely gen, the He valve is a little unscrewed so looks high like a rep he, but isn't. Other than that everything looks normal, it's not even a franken as it has a gen serial number so gen case.
Thanks for the expert info on the HEV.
THAT's what me wondering
-
Thanks Brother.
-
Is this a gen Planet Ocean or a Franken ?
Thanks for the expert views
(...no...I'm not in the market for one.....I'm just honing my awareness regarding 42mm PO's )
-
That's how it's done.
Gongrats on a beautiful piece.
Great job !

In my personal comparisons of the BK DWO next to the TC v2 and V3 DW's(installed of course)...BK wins.
I'll settle for a slightly "less bright white" backdrop over date font that's anything short of perfectly centered and/or aligned.
Of course this issue may have been corrected by now but the TC v4's Ive owned were sold due to the slightly high/left justified date.

Thanks for the input guys.
And you're recollection serves you well ubi...DE would be 2001

WOW!!!
Now that's an awesome looking piece!
I can't help but wonder if the dials are painted white under the markers as the gens are.
....those do indeed look primo !!!
......alarmingly accurate...sorta makes a gen a waste of good money...
