Tbh I reckon what you've done so far with the metal dowels is pretty good for the different size straps/bracelets etc, look good mate and k.i.s.s. and it will work out I'm sure   How about a backing board to mount them on?

Not sure what to right to make you feel any better but I don't think that's what you need tbh, Ed would have been a very happy man throughout his life and as I believe has gone to his better place, we all play a part in everyone's life that  we touch mate, this was yours so cherish it, he will mate I'm sure

To be fair to you my best advice would be read a bit more and when you feel you have the 'one' or 'ones' you really want to order then ask the guys in the appropriate forum what they think, that way the long term guys who know what they are talking about (not me) will offer what they think and give you their 'best advice' in the knowledge that you did your homework and deserve and appropriate answer

I reckon Orient are pretty underrated for the money tbh     I've had mine a few weeks only but so far so good mate, did you get yours used?

I wouldn't think it will be that hard to get it fixed, most shops can do it for you and mate to make you feel better I picked up a Frederique Constant piece recently and guess where that one is atm  Yes in the dealer having the chrono sorted as it jams up within a few sec, bloody watches be the death of my wallet!

Bracelet it is quite well made for the money but I put mine on this instead

$1000 - that's no small sum mate      hey I'll keep my fingers crossed its a small skinny dude for ya !  Has it def scratched through the clear coat or is it on the surface (impact transfer)?  

Feel your pain mate I really do   there are some arrogant a**holes in the world that couldn't give a shit about you or your belongings ! I'm pretty much the same with my stuff, 5 years after owning anything it still looks new, it's an old school thing I reckon but when I was younger I couldn't afford a lot so 'had' to look after my stuff  

Couple years ago I bought the wife a new car for her birthday, she had the car for 2 days and had driven it under 200kms when she parked up for a couple hrs shopping, when she came out and saw the car she didn't recognize it   some f**ker had driven into the drivers side and did about 10k worth of damage to it  no note left and the shopping center camera's didn't catch a thing, needless to say my better half was devastated at the time and I was bloody fuming, poor sod had to do without it for the next 3 weeks while it was repaired!
