I prefer to frankenize a watch. but you need a great base to start with
Just go for the TW best by BK mate. A lot of the "improvements" in the wm9 are even better on the BK.
I said it once and Ill say it again... the only reason to get a wm9 is to frankenize it to the fullest. A rep wm9 parts imo is not the same quality as the BK TWbest. You get a wm9 for the case construction.

I have a nice LV gen dial waiting for the powers that be say its ready for prime time. But I think im going to sit on this for dial for version 2

I was going to make a snoopy franken project with a OEM dial from orfei but the lack of a decent caseback was a deal breaker for me.

I doubt if a respectable rep bezel will be out anytime soon
-
I also had an airman when I first got into the watch game. I sold it, biggest mistake I made. I never saw one again anywhere close to what I sold it at

Nice watch, did you get the car, I would have to see recent pics of the girl sometimes 15 years has a way of making a girl look a little different

Thanks pretty awesome. Some great people over on RWG thats why I not only made RWG my rep home. Great look watch BTW.

First off I'm very much a rep noob, But I decided on taking on a project watch, A blue snowflake tudor. So I'm asking for direction and any help you can give.
I will post pictures and updates along each stage of the build. I have a maximum budget of $1000
So here are some basic questions
1) which case do I need and where is the best place to source it
2) which hands do I need and where is the best place to source it
3) which dial do I need and where is the best place to source it
4) What is the best movement to put in it. I really dont need to have stamp rotors and such. This hopefully would be keep watch.
5) After sourcing the above parts what are the mods needed.
6) Who should I get to put all the pieces together - I have zero watchmaker skills and dont want to learn on a expensive project
Again any opinions and input are welcome.
