  1. I've been looking at different rep dealers websites. Some are good, some are woefull. The Watcheden website is a good one, in my opinion. Easy to navigate and find what you want. Pictures of the watches are displayed so you can see what you're getting. This is one of the reasons I've bought two watches from them. What other dealers have you found that have good websites that make it easy for you to select something, especially if you don't know exactly what you want and are just browsing?
  2. I'm certain this has been asked a zillion times or more so maybe somebody could point me to the answer. I did some searching but didn't find exactly what I'm after. Is there a thread somewhere that describes each type of movement in the various rep watches and, maybe, the pros and cons of each? I know I'd probably get the info if I read through hundreds of posts but it would be nice if there was one, consolidated point of info. Thanks.
  3. I may have just found my next watch. I'm also a big fan of classic aircraft. Is Puretime Watches a good place to deal with?
  4. Thanks for the replies guys. Like somebody said, I guess the best answer is to buy a couple and suck it and see. All I need to do now is decide on what's next. I'm looking at the Super Avenger but it might be a bit big.
  5. I bought rep Tag a while ago and I've recently ordered, but not yet received, a Navitimer. While looking through the website of one of the recommended dealers here I notice that there are zillions of variations of the same model watch and more interestingly some of these are more expensive than others while, in the pics, not looking particularly different to my untrained eye. So, my question is: Is it likely that model X at $300 is going to be significantly better, (in quality and accuracy), than model Y at $120 even though in the pics they look very similar?
  6. Already signed up on his shop. BTW, what is the watch on the left in your sig picture?
  7. Doesn't matter, did a bit more digging and found it.
  8. Thanks mate. Did a search on here for him but it turned up nothing. Where do i find him?
  9. G'day guys, hopefully I can ask this in here. I did a bit of searching here and discovered a set of tools for about $77 from internationalwatchman. I'm going to make the wild assumption that, because he is listed here, he is one of the good guys and this would be a good set for a complete noob to buy. Am I correct? .
  10. That's great, local info and experience is always good.
  11. Just arrived, I've looked around, I've read the rules, I've read all the stuff for noobs, (well, OK, I've read a lot of it, probably not all ....), and now I'm ready to do some searching to find what I need to know. Already bought one replica and have another on the way (hopefully). So, for now, G'day, nice to be here, looks like an interesting place.
