  1. I am not sure anyone knows where to begin. I have tried to keep up with all the various versions from a reading perspective and have even owned a couple and can't answer the question. V1 vs. V1.5 vs V6 vs V7. The headline is that none are perfect (of course) and it is all about what your priorities are: dial, movement, case back, etc. My guess (and it is a guess) is the latest is the best in terms of movement aesthetics, crystal, date wheel font and strap but the CF dial has a crappy date cut out. So if you are trying to own one and are not planning on doing a bunch of mods than go with the latest offering.

Thanks, buddy. Actually, I did read that the latest v6 is the best version...which was strange since it is actually less costly than the previous version. I think this version is up for rep of the year nomination.

By the way, I tried on the gen the other day, and the datewheel cut out was surprisingly as crude as the reps.

  2. I just placed an order with them. Service is slow but I wouldn't go so far to say scam...

Really slow...trying to be patient. Especially reading how some members get their watch in the mail just 3-4 days after paying. It's been a week and a half since I made full payment, and QC pics are still wrong (wrong datewheel color and hour markers are crooked). It bugged me a little bit that they tried to send me pics of the same watch the second QC round, but I'm sure Angus is trying to work things out. Just need to be really patient......

  3. It is all here

    rwgforum.jpg

But just use Goggle search with a "RWG+" as this one is pants

Get yourself the new 104 first

    then 005

    and then perhaps a Chrono

    and then a Rad

or maybe a rad chrono, '

and you will need a PVD

    and then a Pre V

and then a base perhaps an 002

    and then a White Dial

    and the a DSN Sub

and you'll need some good leather to put them on

    HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAH the Madness of it

    What's a pre V?

  4. So I was interested in Hublot recently, since I saw all these great pictures of it on the forums. The one that caught my eye was the SS case with ceramic bezel. But I couldn't seem to make sense of all the versions. From what I can tell there seem to be two main versions of it:

    - one version that costs about $500

    - one versions, the "evolution" that costs about $400 (seems strange why a more accurate version would cost less)

But reading through the threads, I found that there is another version people are referring to, called the "v6"? And some websites even have a "v7"!

It looks like there is only one gen version, 301.SM.1770.RX - which is the most accurate replica of it?

Can someone please help educate me? Thanks.

  5. Fromwhat I understand there is now the "1:1" nautilus with correct date wheel position and font... If you look really closely at the movement you can see "SW-200" though, pretty sure no one will believe you have a patek with a selita movement in it. It looks like it's smaller than the old Nautilus as well.

I've never seen either of them though, so i might be making all of this up. Anyone seen them side to side?

    I'd like to know, too.

I'm also curious as to how easy it is to adjust the bracelet - is taking links out pretty easy? Doesn't seem like there are the screw-in pins...

  6. PPN,

It depends on what you want.

If you are planning on sending it to the service center, then it won't pass.

But if you are going to wear it to impress the public, it is fine.

You know, I'm actually wondering if this rep is good enough to pass with the general public (in other words, people not on this forum or people who nitpick every detail on the watch! :-D)

  7. I wouls ask the dealer directly ... does the crown screw down? It is out in these photos and I find that to be puzzling .. ask if it screws down properly, since the photos show it as extended outwards.

    Good point, thanks.

The engine turning pattern still bothers me a bit...

  8. OH I thought you were talking about the case back, not the movement ... the case back has the clear protective film, but the movement has both cote de geneva (Geneva Stripes) and engine turning.

This is a crappy photo of the gen, so YES it should have those "weird grooves"

    113064d1214610833-wtt-panerai-183-black-seal-pam-183-movement.jpg

I assume the cote de Geneva stripes are the horizontal patterns along the movement back? But what is the engine turning?

The weird grooves I was referring to were actually the diagonal patterns in between each horizontal section. I can't seem to find those in gen pics...or is that just some trick of the lighting?

Bottom line, is this a good rep I should accept? Thanks.

  9. It is a Cheap Rad , but if you like it there is no problem . The Crown looks like its not screwed down correctly so give that a look first . Yeah its a bit green but that could be the light. Theres no regulator/Swan Neck on the movement but that not a big deal unless you are going to pass it around. I have never seen anyone wear a Rad out in the Wild so I doubt you'll bump in to too many who know what it is. Invest in a nicer strap and it should last you a while. Tighten those Lug screws as well , as they tend to work loose

Yeah, I haven't seen too many 183s in the wild either, which is sort of why I like this model. But these lugs look a little too long to me as well...maybe they just aren't tightened properly?

  10. Hey guys, thought I'd ping you guys since I'm a relative PAM newbie. Does this look OK? A few things that caught my eye...

Is the sandwich lume "too green"? It seems a lighter hue when compares with gen pictures.

Does the crystal have any AR?

Is the movement supposed to have those funny grooves on the flat metal areas?

    Appreciate it, guys.
