  1. Although I have a few more posts than you do, I would be in a similar situation. I like to read, read and read, but rarely have much to actually contribute - although I doubt in the last 12 months there has been more than 3 days in a row I have not logged in.

Bet there are a lot of us.

  2. There are topics from time to time of people asking how long shipping should take on the new watch ordered from China, or even member trades. And in most cases international delivery seems to arrive within 10 days (dependant on shipping method). Just thought I would make a mention here of local delivery. On Monday evening I won an auction on ebay for a watch winder, and the store is located in Australia, but local pickup is not possible. Standard $15 for delivery. fair enough, given the weight. Paid for Tuesday. Once paid, I discover the warehouse is only one suburb away from me, about 3km. But since pickup was apparently not an option, I didn't try for it; and as it is so close I figured it would arrive quickly. Well, according to the tracking it arrived Wendesday morning at the auspost dispach area, and was ready for dispach Wednesday evening. It is now Saturday, and still it is waiting to be dispached! 3km up the road.

So next time you are sitting waiting on an international package, just remember it could take less time to get 3,000km to you than 3km.

  3. Anybody have any thoughts on this watchbox? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Luxury-8-Watch-Stor...A1%7C240%3A1318

I am looking for one, finally, and at this stage only need space for 7 watches anyway, so 8 would be enough, and this one is local so postage costs wouldn't be as bad as if it was being shipped from overseas - also with the Aussie dollar being so bad right now, anything priced in other currencies is going to cost anyway.

    So, thoughts on this one?

  4. Not a Pam. Not sure what it is. I'm not sold on Charlie's being a YM either. Also, I noticed on the most recent episode, that Charlie was wearing something different as well.

BTW, what ever happened to the gold Rolex that Alan received as a gift for bedding down that old widow last season?

Sheens watch was discussed in this thread http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=67507 think it was decided that it is a yachty.

I have only recently started getting into the show, but now I have been watching it, am really enjoying it.

  5. I think most people here know that Charlie Sheen is wearing a yachtmaster on the show 2 and a half men, as that has been discussed before, but I have not got a good enough look at Alans watch - but from the shots I see, my guess would be a Pam. Anyone know for sure?

  6. It all sounds good so far, although quite ambitious for a calendar - almost more of a book already with how much you have thought of so far. Not sure I am going to be able to help much with the supplying of information or pics, and there are likely to be people around who have a better grasp on the printing side of things too, but I will definately be in for the final product.

  7. TO THE OVER 30 CROWD...

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up, what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning... uphill... barefoot... BOTH ways... in pouring rain... yadda, yadda blah, blah, blah...

I remember promising myself that when I grew up, There was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!

But now that I'm over the ripe old age of thirty I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia!

And I hate to say it but you kids today you don't know how good you've got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have The Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and Look it up ourselves, in the card catalogue!!

There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter, with a pen! Pen Pals
