Ohhhh I see. Perhaps the Tudor Monte Carlo case is based upon the T-21 crystal instead of the T-128 crystal I had purchased since they perhaps used the case of the Daytona as a mod case instead of the 7031/2. Hi folks. During a service my Monte Carlo crystal began to come apart. Although I had a Tropic 128 genuine crystal the inner diameter of the crystal was too large for the David Wong (DW) case and the outer diameter was too tight for the DW bezel. No this was a gen insert as sold to me by Sub007 I also noticed the same thing. The Athaya tube is a lot thicker and needs the case to be drilled and tapped. This doesn't seem to be true for the 5513 or 1680 as my friend stated his was okay and swapped right in. Athayas tubes for 702 should be exactly the same as gen. They will fit gen crowns. Thanks for the advice. A friend actually kindly gifted me a cartel 93150 and it wears great! As for the crown tube a friend also said in his experience the Athaya (and gen) tubes fit perfect on the 5513 and 1680 MBW. That just mean the 1665 uses a different setup. So good news is I got it drilled and can finally wear it. The bad news is for some reason my Athaya 702 crown is MUCH bigger opening for crown tube. So it wasn't a straight forward swap for the 1665 MBW case. It seems though that the others such as the 5513 that Delaforce another member did was perfect fit... Odd.
