ever since i got my montauk highway rep .. i really wanted to get the gen . but been debating whether i wanted to spend like $28k so i done lot of internet searching , and just gave up on the idea .. then i was doing a few Google searches for the comparison on the gen and rep .. just came across gen for sale ... and the price was quiet low and checking against others that were selling the watch as in like for like as in box and papers and condition .. i thought id send a email and see if it was still for sale luckily is still was to my surprise .. so after 2 weeks of email and phone call i made a time and date , to go meet face to face , not so easy as im in the uk and the seller was in Holland , so i booked the ticket ,and to meet in the ap dealer to authenticate the watch to my surprise it all checked out .. so i done the deal and now back in good old London ...so i am comparing the two watch ..not a GREAT DEAL IN IT .. apart from the usual tell tail signs ..the colour on the dial and the blues are off and a few other things ..to be honest i love em both ... will post side by side pics after .. a good sleep

anyone know the going price of a gen ap montauk highway::: ive found one around £10k ... is that a good price .. its a 2009 mint condition with box and full papers ... LOVE THE REP THAT MUCH ... JUST HAVE TO BUY THE GEN !!

sure no worries i will take some side by side pics with the rap strap .... i must say i had the watch for a few weeks never wore it until i got my custom strap from hktan .... and when im wearing out lots of attention and comments on it more then any other watch i ,, guess it the great colour combination

thanks chief sorry to ask ... but would u be able to give me a guild line on prices on parts i should be paying ? i dont mind at all ordering from overseas 1 movement ? 2 dial ? 3 bezel? 4 case ? 5 hands? 6 crystal ? 7 bracelet ? or should i go for a cheaper option if any ? thanks again for your advice

thanks for the advice all ,, but ive looked there is no way i can find a daytona ss and goold at tha price £3.5k more like £5.5k upwards if im lucky .. is there another route i could go .. maybe not so super franken just franken ???.. to cut the cost down ...and here is the cost so far 1.movement £900 2.dial £800 3.bezel £800 4. after market strap ss/g £400 damn thats with out anything else the cost .. outta control .. i think maybe its better to do just a franken .. but really would like some advice from the experts plzzz would the best route thank you for reading

hi all im a new noobie .. looking to make my first franken super rep of daytona ss/g with champaign face ..i really dont know where to start have been in ebay looking at gen face and bezel and crowns and pushers and after market real gold and steel bracelet and glass .. im not sure which movement if i can find one or use the 9@sec hand and what about the case ?? could some1 please point me out in the right direction ?? i will be doing my post of pic as soon as i start thank you
