  1. This baby arrived 10 days ago, this is Noob version, 2nd batch (or V2 as some call it). All of small flaws that were present in the first batch are corrected on this one, it's pretty much perfect. It is definitely continuation of trend of top notch PAM reps that started last year. Nothing really to do on this watch, except to choose strap that suits you and put it on your wrist. New style rubber that comes with it is fantastic, but I currently wear in on rep Asso, and it works great for me, right balance of formal and sporty. So, enough talk, I'll let the pictures speak ...

  2. So, this is how it ends ... although I must say I'm not happy with this ending, I admire the way in which admin/mod team handled this situation, and I fully trust their judgment in this unfortunate situation. Nevertheless, it leaves me kind of sad.

Going to miss his GF photos though :)

Well, there is a thread over on RG, with lot of his GF pics pulled out - posted some time ago by none else but @edgematic. Probably he stumbled upon them while "investigating" :yu: ... just sayin'

    ...

On the other hand people. Don't think a ban is solving the problem. This situation is caused by SQL bad and immoral ethics. A ban can be easily bypassed and he will register again under different username. From then on he can continue his shady business invisible.....

Man, are you serious - what problem do you talk about ?? If he signs again here, he starts from beginning, and he doesn't have any credit that would enable him to cheat around here (although he never did that on rep fora). And if he signs again on gen fora - who cares, as long as he can't be linked to this fora. If you think ban isn't the solution what do you suggest ?? Maybe talk to some law enforcement agency and suggest that they check him for selling counterfeit items as gen items, and that is a crime ... unlike us around here who sell counterfeit items as counterfeit items, and that is not a crime ... or maybe it is for those silly law enforcement agencies ... uppps, sorry law enforcement officer, can we forget about this before you start tracking and taking down members of our fora for selling counterfeit items. Jeez guys lets get real for a moment, he is banned, kicked out from this place ... end of story, THE END, no more ...

  3. I still see no explanation for the fact that the same email address is associated with all these scams?

I am one of the first to realise that there are many sides to a story, however I am at a loss as to an explanation as to how the same email address is being used and is directly linked.

And I see NO answers or rebuttals of this.

Beats me?? Must be IT magic.

    Offshore.

Now, this is what I can't really understand from latest posts by @edge - is there conclusive, hard evidence that e-mail address(es) used by scammer(s) are Macieks ? I don't mean evidence like "He uses "DBGS" in his e-mail adress" or "Could be a coincidence, but would be rather strange in my opinion.". If there is EXACTLY (not similar, or same e-mail domain) the same address used in any of these scams, and that address can be directly linked to Maciek (for example, if he used it for registration to fora, or he used it as his PP address), then I say he is guilty and he should be held responsible, but I still did not see this evidence - and I don't want us to be like these guys:

  4. Well, plot just thickened on this one ... I'm not trying to be anyone's advocate, nor taking any sides (still), but there are some things that I don't quite get here. I have dealt with Maciek few times, bot as a seller and as a buyer, and never had any problems, even bought one gen strap from him (Ingy kevlar).

I guess it's time for me to talk as well, I was invited to this thread by Freddy. I never received a strap indeed, but others didn't as well (view the links down under, as well as a message from an eBay member that bought a strap from him as well recently).

    ...

OK, so let me get this straight - you bought two straps from him, one you didn't received, and other was fake ? I mean, if you don't get something, how do you know it is fake ?

Anyhow, time will tell. You can always let me know where you get so many straps, especially AP straps. I know a lot about the brand and I know some inside people as well, working at AP. Not just regular functions, higher grade functions. And even I cannot get 10 straps that easy. Even 1 strap is not that easy. It’s AP after all.

    ....

Really, he should let YOU know where he gets something ? Because you know people at AP ? Are you serious? C'mon man, I was quite convinced that Maciek was drawn to the dark side of this hobby, based on your "investigation" over there ... but this sounds really childish (to say it politely), and I must say things are not so clear any more. I give him presumed innocence for the moment, at least until someone presents some hard evidence.

  5. There were varying opinions on first generation of latest 243 reps, but with latest batches (currently offered by most TDs) it is general consensus that Noob version is the way to go. But, feel free to do some research on your own, Panerai section is full of useful data, pictures of actual watches, reviews etc.

  6. If you are talking about PAM 390, these two movements you found are not direct swap - you need "base" (in PAM lingo) movement, i.e. one without seconds hand pinion. Removing this pinion without proper tools and knowledge is very risky.

  7. What @maxman said +1

Guys, do some research, don't fall for propaganda ... Kony is irrelevant, there are hundreds of konys around Africa, Uganda and South Sudan army are in pretty much same league as far as war crimes and other horrible thing go - and, by the way, IC supports these two armies "to help them hunt down" Kony ... great, humanitarian organization that helps ARMIES ?? Do some research about Acholi region and Acholi people and what current Uganda government did there - mass murders, concentration camps etc. LRA came from there, Kony is Acholi. Now, I'm not justifying their actions in ANY way, these are disgusting and horrible thing happening there, and this MUST be stopped - but this is not the way.

One more point - in 2010 quite large oil reserves are found around Albertine rift in - tadaaam - Uganda. Hmmm, sudden interest in Uganda becomes understandable ... These IC guys are really changing history - I think this is first time in history that military intervention is pushed and justified in this way, you have to love prospect of the world where Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and such characters (and their FB and Twitter friends) call for military interventions, and POTUS acts immediately and send US Army there ... pretty scary thought ...

  8. So if there are two ASIAN 7753 movements in replicas (in addition to ETA 7753 in some very expensive replicas) I have three questions: 1. How to best for a buyer to distinguish between the two different ASIAN 7753 movements in replicas 2. That this new type of ASIAN 7753 allows a non-recessed date wheel.....I guess that would not improve the PO CHRONOGRAPH replica in any way? 3. Could give us a detailed picture comparison of the two different ASIAN 7753 movements in replicas?

No, there are NOT two types of ASIAN 7753 movements - there is ASIAN 7753 and ASIAN 7750 modified to mimic 7753 subdial adjustment (3-6-9). In most cases trusted dealers represent these movements correctly in their descriptions. Like I said main difference is that modified 7750 have recessed DW and date quick set on crown, while 7753 does not have either. Most reliable way to differentiate these two visually is by looking for date quick set lever, that is present on 7753 movements (Swiss and Asian) - marked by red circle on following pictures:

    regards

  9. First, as you probably noticed 7750 and 7753 are two different movements functionally and aesthetically. One is not a subtitute for the other. The 7753 has quick set date pusher and date at 4 o'clock. 7750 has date change integrated into the crown and date at 3 o'clock. In terms of reps, when you see a watch listed as having an A7753 it is not an equivalent to an ETA 7753. There is no true 7753 Asian equivalent. What dealers call A7753 is a standard A7750 with a couple of "gears" to move the date. Those couple of gears can cause problems. ;) Think of it as any rep of a watch that on the gen uses an ETA 7753 is using a bastardized 7750. But a 7750 based gen chrono can use an Asian equivalent.

Hmm, this is not exactly true - there is actually true Asian 7753 clone, it is coming in latest batch of Daylights from Noob maker since ~2 years ago, also in some other watches as of lately (I have seen Corum Chrono and Cartier Santos Chrono powered by A7753). It has pretty much same construction as Swiss 7753, gears are not interchangeable, but concept is the same. Also, it has date quick set by pusher at 10-o-clock, and no date quick set by crown. Only functional difference is that date jumper wheel is not same construction as ETA uses, so there is no possibility to set date by going from 10PM to 2AM and back-and-forth, like it is possible on ETA 7753. Of course, biggest advantage of A7753 over A7750 with 3-6-9 config is non-recessed date wheel. Other than that - Asian gears are Asian gears, so I guess looking at same base movement reliability is probably the same 7753 or 7750. Also, so far all A7753 movements are high-beat with functional regulator, so as far as Asian 775x movements go, this is the best kind of movement.
