  2. The launch of rep JT from JF somehow went with very little attention around here. I would dare to say that this rep is somehow (unjustly) neglected. So, to try and correct this I decided to give it some attention I got this in January this year, not expecting very much, but really interested in combination of materials - cermet + forged carbon. And, I must say, these two materials together really work fantastically on this watch. Cermet is incredible material, looks better than SS to me, high sheen on polished parts, perfect brushed finish on brushed parts, with surface hardness of ceramic. Mind blowing, really. And FC, so light, and kind of stealthy, gives very good contrast to shiny cermet. Apart from looking great these materials also provide for very light watch, especially for sec-at-12 ROO - watch head weights (without strap) only 90 grams, and you have to consider that just sec-at-12 movement is over 30 grams. Needles to say, compared to other 42mm ROOs, it is much more comfortable to wear, and sits much better on the wrist. Like it was already written in few places, unfortunately not everything is perfect on this rep This is how it was supposed to look like (gen): The worst flaw on this rep is the dial color. It is one of the infamous JF grey-dialed models division that has completely mismatched shade of grey. It was supposed to be very light grey, that matches cermet bezel. Instead it is quite dark grey, that gives quite a contrast to bezel color. To me personally, I can stand this color combination, it works somehow, unlike dial color on Ti Schumi, that looks completely out of place on the watch - but of course that is just matter of taste, and does not change the fact that color is simply wrong. Dial color is very dependent on angle of light falling on it, and kind of light - you can see on the pictures that in some angles it looks much lighter than in others. Other flaws include wrong font on tachy ring, slightly wrong finish on pushers, non-recessed logo and of course all other sec-at-12 reps inherent flaws (date position, crown height). Not to say all is negative, there are also lot of good things about this rep. Crystal is fantaqstic, this one really does not need any AR treatment, it's so good out of the box. Red color also looks very decently matched to the gen, and overall fit and finish is really fantastic. Case back and decorated rotor are very good. Enough talk, lets see some glamour shots of the rep. regards
  3. RBII with some upgrades
  4. Does anyone have any idea what tool can be used for these strangely shaped screws on caseback/bezel of new carbon Ingy ? Picture attached, if you don't know what I'm talking about. regards
  5. Unfortunately blue screws are still there, it's just reflections on the movement pic that make it look like screws are silver.
  6. As soon as I seen this reped I knew I must get it. My first rep ever, some 7 years ago, was Carrera Chrono Racing - and in a way this model is a descendant - red accents, rubber strap etc. So, I got it from Angus, and it was love on first sight Quality and finishing is really great, everything feels solid, pushers, crown etc. Dial has very nice semi-mat texture, very gen-like, rep makers are getting better at this with every new model. Rubber strap feels soft but solid, compared to gen it is even a bit softer, very good tire tread pattern. Clasp is very nicely executed, firm and solid action on closing and opening. Lume is there, not really torch, but considering very small lumed areas it is quite OK. Well, enough talk, let's see some pictures  regards
  7. Oh my ... stunning, congratulations mate !! Not that I would have balls to do anything like it
  8. Well, there is one V CG for sale as we speak Link regards
  9. So, here we have a great rep, with OPEN caseback, and movement that does not have ANY resemblance to the gen piece ... and some people are bothered by engraving on CB ? Really ? Yes, it's a flaw, but next to having plain 2824 instead of gorgeous 8500 it kind of becomes insignificant. I know in this hobby certain (high) level of OCD is welcomed, but c'mon ... regards
  10. Few months ago I ordered two POs, UPO 45.5 and 5th gen 42 mm, with idea to start one or two franken projects. So, I liquidated part of my collection and started I must say Sunnydale crystals came in perfect time for me, since neither UPO nor 5th gen PO have crystals that are even close to acceptable for such a project. 5th gen crystal is a bit better than UPO crystal, but still nowhere close to perfect. First I got one of Sunnys first batch UPO crystals, and it was already better than either of these two rep crystals, but this new "super" AR crystals are really fantastic. For the moment I removed gen crystals from to-do list. Unfortunately, 42mm PO dial is currently out of stock at Cousins, but it should be back on 12th of February, and when they get it I'll continue these builds. Current status of these two projects is: UPO: - Sunny super AR crystal - Gen DW - Paint mod on seconds hand - Aftermarket insert with gen pearl - Gen buckle To do: - Gen dial, hands, crown, tube - maybe He valve 5th gen: - Sunny super AR - Gen seconds hand - Gen DW To do: - Gen dial, hands, crown, tube - Gen bracelet endlinks - maybe He valve Considering rep parts, i prefer dial texture and color on UPO dial, although dial lume on UPO is crap and it is decent on 5th gen. Both dials are black, of course, but 5th gen dial is not so "deep" black like UPO dial, and in some situations it has some strange green-ish hue (at first I tought it was due crystal, but it is not). Some more pictures: Lume shot - on left is UPO with gen pearl, on right is 5th gen with gen seconds hand: regards
  11. Well, I doubt you can use top plate from A7753 on E7750 (or any 7750 for that matter), since date change setup is completely different. But, what I can say for sure is that you can use A7753 date wheel on any 7750 movement if you can reduce OD without "destroying" printed numbers. I have tried to put 7750 DW on A7753 movement, and it works without any problem, and I would say DW lines up, at least for first generation A7753 PAM Daylights. Below are two pictures showing 7750 DW mounted on A7753, and 196 dial mounted on same movement. Based on this, I would say inner diameter and tooth construction and position are the same on A7753 and 7750 date wheels.
