Thanks man, you should get yourself DSSD, it's a watch that kind of grows on you, at least that's what happen to me. BTW, it's an iPhone picture Of course, this is the dial I got from Angus, like month ago, he calls it "V6 from noob factory". I actually asked for his advice on best DSSD dial, since I can't really keep track of all available versions, and he recommended this one. It actually looks very good, my main problem on most DSSD dials are dial markers with wide "edges", and I think this dial has almost perfect dial markers. I'll try to take some better pictures with proper camera and setup in few days. And regarding AR on the crystal - I agree with you, it completely transforms this watch, I would say it's a must. regards

Strap is rep Assolutamente, I got it from Angus. It comes with PAM 386 rep, but for a while few dealers were able to source it separately. As for pictures, I did some post processing, but nothing special, small increase in saturation and very light unsharp mask, resize and border, all in PS ... around 30 secs per pic . regards

Yup, I did the swap with H-f 005k and N-f 111M and it went smooth. Just swapped crystals, didn't touch gaskets. regards

Who knows, maybe Panerai makes some special edition like this in next few years Quite basic setup - home made light-box (three pieces of milk-white plexi, some white paper and cardboard), two 100W halogen bulbs, cheap tripod, 7 year old Canon 350D body, Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 lens (actually most expensive piece in whole setup). regards

Received 390 this Thursday from Josh ... I guess all about this watch is already said, in one word - amazing. But, gold hands and brown dial just ask for titanium case ... so, I got some spare time this weekend, and decided to pop 390 guts into 177M case. Result was very nice, as expected. I can't say I prefer Ti to SS or other way around - each is fabulous in its own way. Enough talking, I'll let the pictures speak ... enjoy regards

Wow, finally N-H comparison by someone having both watches in hand. A big thank you to all involved in this great writeup and pictorial !!! @mikelm - did I understand correctly that your N crystal have defect (those "stains" visible on pics). If you disregard that defect how would you compare clarity of the crystal and AR quality to H ? regards

It's 036B, 1998. limited edition, first Marina with transparent case-back. Rep looks decent, it's probably DSN. CG is wrong shape, it should be A-F CG, not H/PreV shape. Dial is tritium, so it should have some patina. This movement is pretty nice, i used to have one. "Pure" Swiss 6497-1, with decorated plates glued to bridges, Y-shaped incabloc, only thing missing is sunburst decoration on crown and ratchet gears. Gen uses same looking movement, with better finishing, of course. Some gen pics for reference can be found here @tx - you are kidding, right regards

So, being kind of bored, I decided to try switching innards of these two pieces, here is what I got. I must admit, 360V2 dial in SS case looks fantastic, despite color of the lume being completely fantasy. Of course, DLC 000 looks cool too regards

But, crown still sits too low on case, doesn't it ?
