  1. Do these movements come with day wheel or just date wheel ? I was looking at them recently, but the guy have really bad pictures, so I choose another one, a bit more expensive pity ... Maybe I should get another one for some future projects ... bye
  2. Maybe if Tag makes it So far it's fantasy watch, as far as I can see on Tag web. Although, rep makers already have one quite similar, at least king have it on site - http://www.cclv.net/TAG-053.htm - maybe if you talk them into putting black dial in it, you have your dream Carrera EDIT: Oh my, Andrew just added it - http://www.ttwristwatch.com/index.php?main...roducts_id=1315 So is it fantasy or Tag really makes Carrera chrono with SS bezel bye
  3. Great, thanks @chrgod. I ordered two - to have for my future TAGs bye
  4. Yes, but where to get ETA date wheel ? I tried on bay, at Ofrei, but no luck So I ended up ordering swiss 7750, still waiting for it to arrive bye, Ivan
  5. Nice shots m8, can you take some close-up shots of the movement - I'm interested in decoration of the bridges ? Rep movements don have any decoration, and I'm not sure how gen movement looks like. best regards, Ivan
  6. I have mine for almost two months now, and it's more or less my daily beater. Very precise (haven't done any testing, but it may loose 1 minute in 7-14 days), excellent quality. I'm careful with A7750, but it's OK so far. I haven't tried if it's waterproof, except for washing hands but I plan to take it to watchsmith to check all gaskets and seals, so I'm not taking any risks. As for power reserve, it's very good (I'm not an expert really, since it's my first auto movement), it is definitely between 36 and 48 hrs - again I haven't tested it, but sometimes I don't wear it for two days and I find it still ticking. I ordered SS bracelet additionally and it's much better than rubber - at least for me. Rubber band does not fit small wrists like mine, because it can't really band in first cm on watch side, so it looks kind of wrong - maybe on bigger wrist it will fit better - you can see it in this pic: Only problem I have is wrong date font - not a bit wrong like other guys point, but completely and terribly wrong: I'm currently trying to find swiss 7750 on ebay to swap it together with datewheel because it seems stock ETA datewheels are really hard to find - at least for me The other thing that is different from the gen is movement decoration - in gen some bridges (I think these things are called bridges ) on the movement are decorated, on A7750 they are all flat (thay are also flat on most swiss 7750). I don't have any pics with SS bracelet so far, but I'll try to take some and post them here. bye
  7. Whoa, great post and great result. I'm planning on something similar, but still hunting for Swiss 7750 on bay. How much did you pay for it ? Did you have to get small subdial hands also ? In The Zigmeister's article it seems they are also different. Do you happen to have part numbers you ordered from Ofrei ? Congrats again on your almost-gen bye, Ivan
  8. Yes, I have all black Carrera, racing edition (with red chrono hands). I don't know about beat rate, it sounds quick, but I'm really not an expert Here are some pictures of bracelet end-links, and sharp edges I was talking about: All other links have very smooth finish. I'll tra to compare bracelet to gen if I get a chance. bye, Ivan
  9. Wow, man, thanks for all the advice. I went to another watchsmith and she (yes, it was lady in her mid sixties ) removed it with some effort. I guess the other two were to scared to hit it harder when they saw expensive watch. Anyhow, now I can wear my watch with new bracelet, and I must say I prefer it to rubber strap. Quality of bracelet is generally OK, only thing I noticed is that last links (ones that are nearest to watch) have some rough finishing and sharp edges, unlike all other links. I agree with you about how frustrating it is to not be able to wear watch because of size of bracelet - thats why I'm going to take you other advice and get that pin remover from ebay, it's really not expensive. bye Ivan
  10. I just received new SS bracelet for Carrera chrono, and wanted to adjust bracelet. I went to two watchsmith shops and they couldn't do it Second one claimed that you need some special tool to do it, and I should go to AD ?? Now, I don't really want to go to AD with my rep especially since it still has wrong date dial (still trying to sort it out with Andrew ) ... Any of you guys know if this bracelet really isn't just-push-out-the-pin kind ? Or maybe pins on my bracelet are broken somehow ??? any suggestions are welcome ... bye, Ivan
  11. Just one more question Flav - what strap is on your pic ? Where can it be bought ? best regards
  12. Do you know how is lume on 036 from Josh ? I've looking at it for some time, can't decide between 036 and 172 And then there are also 177h and 111h from Davidsen that also look nice ... bye
  13. Does anyone here have SS bracelet for new Carrera chronos (I know some "group buy" guys ordered it together with rubber strap) ? I'm thinking about ordering just bracelet from Andrew, so I was wandering about quality ? If anyone would be so kind and post some pics it would be even better bye, Ivan
  14. Not really, more like 40 meters since you have 1 bar on sea level, and 1 more for each 10 meters of depth. bye, Ivan
  15. I'm waiting for Andrew, he promised to send me correct date wheel. I hope he will deliver, and then I'll be able to find good watchsmith to do replacement Otherwise I'll have to get it myself, I'm definitely not leaving it like this ... bye
  16. Wrong date font again on this one, like on some watches from first series (black, rubber strap) - including mine I can't believe they can make such nice reps and then not be able to insert right date dial - can it be so difficult ?? bye, Ivan
  17. Yep, that would be the best solution for me, I love this watch so much I would hate to have to send it away It's all up to Andrew now ... bye, Ivan
  18. Thanks guys for good advice on this topic, this is really great community I'm still in doubt what to do - get myself new date dial, or send the watch back to Andrew. I'm sorry to say, but Andrews answer to my e-mails was not exactly in line with his post on forum, but I'm not giving up, and I hope this will be resolved. I was very satisfied with him until this point, and would be really disappointed if this thing ruins everything BTW, any of you guys know where can I get correct date-dial for this watch, just in case ... bye, Ivan
  19. Well, it's my first rep so I was very excited. Ordered it from Andrew, arrived after 7 days, nicely packed, no problem with customs. And I must say it's a real beauty, everything looks perfect - at least for me, complete noob. EXCEPT (unfortunately) - date font, it seems somehow it got wrong datewheel - although pictures indicate correct font. There are also some reviews of watches from other dealers that show correct font. So this was real disappointment, not because it's incorrect - I don't really care - but because it looks really ugly on this watch. I'm including some pictures of this nice watch. regards
