Gen PAM Crowns - No More Requests Being Accepted
z3k0 replied to Watchmeister's topic in The Panerai Area
Hi kruzer, are there any news on this ? If I haven't receive answer to my email yet does that mean I'm out of this batch ? regards -
OK, this is TWB 21mm kevlar: Does anyone see any gaps ? regards
-
Jakub, have done any Ferrari with singe sided AR ? How does that look, compared to rep crystal with rep AR ? regards
-
I don't know where did you get that wisdom, but as a long time 3717 owner, I must tell you you are completely wrong. Measure of 3717 lugs IS 21 mm - and if you get 21mm strap it will fit perfectly. You can squeeze 22mm strap in, but it will be squeezed - I used to wear 22mm NATO on 3717 and it worked nice. But I doubt how would that work with some thick leather strap. regards
-
Ask BOB, or check out his website: www.waccex.de If you want real gator then TWB is the way to go. regards
-
Does anyone know if Ferraris are supposed to have double sided AR or single sided like all other modern PAMs ? regards
-
Single size for all hand posts, single size for hand tubes -> easier manufacturing, less space for manufacturing errors, single stock of hand tubes instead of two separate. Chinese makers also try to squeeze as much profit as they can from their operations, you know Whey you think quantities, these savings can make quite difference on bottom line. regards

If you use search function you can probably find bunch of topics on this subject. So just quick recap - ETA will not stop production by no means, neither it will stop selling movements. It will stop selling ebauches (half finished movements) to companies that used to buy them, finish/decorate movement and sell it for substantially larger amount of money - and of course make nice profit out of that. In todays world of stock markets and profit hunting shareholders, every cent of profit counts - and of course someone in Swatch group realized ETA could take this profit by finishing its own movements in-house. And there you have it - just plain old huger for profit And, you don't have to worry there will be too much new movements appearing in large-production mechanical watches - again, simple economy - it would cost too much, and decrease profit. And since most of brands that target mass-market are owned by large multi-national conglomerates, anything that would reduce their profit is not very likely to happen. regards

They will have to make new dial also, Ti and SS versions have different hour markers (like @k2222 already pointed out). I wouldn't be surprised if the "maker" decides that this dial is "good enough" for both versions regards
-
This looks like SS to me : what do you guys think ? It would be such a shame if they can't make this one in Ti regards
-
Mrs.King claims its white gold plated, not just steel and price is almost same as gold mat ... Will have to wait to see some reviews of this one. And, come on "maker" guys - lets make AllBlack regards
-
They started making some really interesting HBBs lately, and I must admit I don't know which one to get (I want all ) Of course, you will hardly fool anyone into thinking that it is platinum, but I like it anyhow ... Pic: regards
-
As far as I understand it is LE (50 pcs) made exclusively for Hublot retailer/AD Marcus of London. I think Black Marcus is not it's official designation, it's just something that @UB7 came up with regards
-
Yup, it's a gen, pictures are taken from TZ - link It actually very hard to tell difference between brushed ceramic and PVD from pictures. regards
-
Well, I doubt it is a rep, we would hear about this one from our dealers. On the other hand, despite being ugly, this being reped would mean they are just one step away from AllBlack - and that would be great news . Hmm, lets hope someone will join this tread and confirm this being rep EDIT: just noticed on RWI that original poster confirmed it to be gen regards

How hard is it to replace bell & ross BR 03-92 dial?
z3k0 replied to Bigsy's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
I have one with these stains on my desk right now, looking at the dial and thinking how to remove them. It belongs to friend of mine, and I was sure went into water with it . Thanks for explanation The Zigmeister, I'll try with rodico right away. I already tried with water and alcohol but to no use ... BTW, it is orange numerals on black dial, and it has no lume at all, only hands are lumed. What are other members experiences with this model and lume (trusty advertises it with words "Lume glows") - has anyone seen really lumed orange 03-92 dial ? regards -
Well, actually you mixed things up a little bit Regulator that this new 7751 supposedly have working is part of movement that enables fine regulation of movement (as opposed to non-fine regulation you can do on A7750 where you have to work directly on balance spring). On the other hand regulateur watch is type of watch that have specific hands arrangement - there is minute hand in center, and hour/seconds hands are in subdials off-center: Hope that helps

Hmm, tempting ... but, I think this case is still 42 mm, I doubt they went to trouble of creating new case ? Angus does not specify size ... and 3786 is 44 mm. If this case is 44 mm then this one gets very high on my list regards
-
I wish some of our collectors start selling brushed ceramic bezels - I think that would look awesome on Ice I think that it would increase "stealth-effect" @UB7 - I think my HBB collection will soon look like yours, thanks for helping me make my mind regards

Actually, I think it bothers lots of people here - and I'm sure it bothers me, because I have to scroll endlessly to see one sentence answer to huge post. And can you give me one reason to do it (except of pissing people off) ?? On the other hand, great pictures and review @lani, and great watch, going to top of my list very fast - I'll make sure I get it before summer anyhow regards -
Yup, Carrera is the same, black dial and slightly curved crystal, mirror-like effect regards
-
@vlyodog - Go ahead, mate, show us some pictures, I want to see what it looks like regards

So, I was looking for some new outfit for my 3717, and I noticed Watchboys have new kevlar with white stitching. Since I still can't make my mind about ordering custom pilot strap from HKTan (too many choices I guess ) I decided to give it a try. Here are some pics, so you can judge for yourself - I know I like it a lot ! regards
