  1. Used to have 2254.50, really nice watch, but I sold it because case is really not good. I think at the moment there is no replica with good case - they all have crown guards completely scre*ed up. You can check on my picture, and compare it to the gen picture. And since buying gen case is not really feasible, I decided to give up on all planned mods. There is a "legend" about this replica from some "closed factory", some members even posted pictures of it, but it is not available any more, at least not from the sources I know. And BTW, crystal on this really needs AR badly, without it it looks really bad, since it's quite curved. regards
  2. I guess you have to replace both - crown and tube - in this situation ? I have UPO, and I still don't have this problem, but I just want to know what to do if *hit happens. regards
  3. Just one warning - Asian version cannot take ETA without heavy modifications. To put it simply - nothing fits I would say it is not worth the trouble. regards
  4. What about AR, is it really double sided and strong ? BTW, congrats lani, you were the first, and that will be remembered regards
  5. Josh put up new pictures on his site aligned bezel, much stronger AR ... Maybe it does exist after all regards
  6. RS is for "Rotating system" They simply took Cal 17 (2894) and put subdial cut-outs on shafts instead of hands - and they glued hands in space that is left after cutting out the subdials - and they call this revolutionary new movement regards

    IWC 3717

Hi, watch you have on TZ link is not 3717, but older fliegerchrono version (3706). It has smaller case than watches from 3717 line. I don't think there are any PVD watches in current filegerchrono line, they substituted it with ceramic. Angus did have one fantasy model in PVD few days ago - 3717 case PVD-ed, TopGun-like dial, wrong crown, no AR - but despite that very nice watch. But he said there is just one piece available, so I'm not sure if it is still available. As for buying 3717, I think all collectors have similar model, you just need to check if it has new A7750 movement - OR if you want to swap movement with genuine ETA/Val 7750, you should look for old A7750, because it will make swap much easier. regards
  8. Well, now I'm sure I'm not buying it until I see some reviews from trusted members here. Even if it means I won't be able to put it as a present for myself under Xmas tree regards
  9. News from Angus http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=56925 21st is new D-Day, new pictures tomorrow
  10. Let's hope AT, when released, will not behave like that :D regards
  11. Great shots of a great watch Very nice use of natural light and scenery, beautiful. regards
  12. One more swiss powered beauty on Timefactors NATO: regards
  13. This looks like "prototype" picture to me - slightly misaligned inner bezel with some small dirt/imperfections in first section of it. On the bright side, I got mine MBW EoD last week, so that makes waiting for this thing a bit easier regards
  14. Well, last time I checked there was only Al in Periodic table for Aluminium, or Aluminum as it is called across the pond regards
  15. Well, dealers still have old pictures I'm pretty sure they will put new pictures as soon as they get their hands on finished version - which means ... regards
  16. Yep, this is worst part about all Carrera series - bracelet is very good, except for gaps between links which are to big (compared to gen). I was holding gen few times and it is huge difference. And that is such a shame for such a great and accurate rep regards
  17. No, I think we are ridiculous regards
  18. Are you aware you are talking about rep here ? I fairly doubt any of gaskets in our watches are "perfectly compatible" let alone changed every time caseback is opened Maybe some of the resident watchmeisters may correct me, but if gasket is not damaged it is enough to put some silicone grease on it, place it correctly and tighten caseback - if it was waterproof before it will certainly remain that way. regards
  19. So, what should be our next target, before we really have this watch - maybe 1000 replies regards
  20. So it might be this november after all It seems to me they still have old pictures of "prototype" with misaligned inner bezel ? I hope these are not final pictures ... At least price is not in Cousteau/Blackbird territory regards
  21. Argh, if it's released in 6 days how come they not know the price yet Maybe its November 5th 2009 regards
  22. Yup, everything fits - I swapped 4813 from my UPO lite with 2813 (4813 was behaving strange) without any problem. regards
  23. Great balls of fire ... Yup definitely on my wish list ... although I know it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Maybe if they make 3717 w/PVD case and this dial, it would be close enough ... but then again maybe not regards
  24. Some more Ingy candy regards
