  1. I'm curious @AMK, how can you tell from pictures about quality of PVD ? Since PVD watches are gaining popularity in rep world, I would like to know hot to tell quality of PVD. BTW, I found somewhere that this watch is supposed to be ceramic coated SS, so I guess in that case it should be shiny/polished. regards
  2. Thanks for sharing this info. I'm getting ready to do this myself, but I'm not sure how to remove and refit crystals - did you do it by yourself, or you had a watchsmith do it ? Is there any tutorial available how to do this somewhere ? regards
  3. No, it doesn't help - I got myself one, white-on-black dial. It kept me happy for few days, but then I see this thread and it all goes away ... Especially when I realized that they messed up case thickness - it' much thicker than the real thing. And crown is really crappy ... and it seems it is general problem, since I got one for my friend with orange-on-black dial and it had same crown problem. regards
  4. Well, guys, I guess you should stick to our beloved "blackberry" dealers (some know them as "cartel" ) and their real-time updated web-sites. You have to actually ASK this guy for price and availability ! He does not update his web site 5 times a week with new higher prices, like all other "decent" dealers. OMG, this is really baad. But, if you don't mind having to actually write an e-mail and ask for price and availability, you will most likely get what you pay for - I don't see any of you being scammed by Trevor ? Jeez guys, I checked watch in June, and it was around $500 and now it's around $1000 (I guess you know what I'm talking about) - and that is OK, but when this guy tells you that price of ETAs is up and rises price by $40 that is terrible ... well, suit yourself. regards
  5. C'mon guys if Thierry Nataf can have his Zenithium (and real in-house movements BTW), then Mr.B must have something like that. I'm surprised he didn't name it Biverium or something like that The price for this piece is really ridiculous, you can have Porto 5001 in platinum with real in-house state-of-the-art movement for that kind of money. And I noticed in TZ threads that some of these guys in their praises for this "new" watch are comparing it with Richard Mille watches based on horological value - now, that is even more ridiculous than the price ... regards
  6. Sorry man, just too busy these days I used the old crown stem, and it works - although it is not 100% same as one I got with 2813. BTW, when you buy DG2813 from cousins you don't get full length stem, so if you want to use original 2813 stem you have to order it separately. regards
  7. I know it's not, even more, in my experience "old" 21600 Asian 21j are waay more accurate than "new" 28800. All of 21600 21j I came across were inside 5 secs a day, but I have yet to find 28800 Asian (excluding 7750 and 2892 clone) that would be inside 5 sacs/day. But, 28800 Miyota would be more accurate that 28800 Asian, and would look better (sweep) than 21600 Miyota - and I was thinking about SOSF and BR 03 as candidates for transplant. regards
  8. If only Miyota would make 28800 bph 8215-like movement ... that would be great upgrade for many of current "lite" versions - UPO, SOSF, even BR03-92 regards
  9. Yup, it is 4813, and it is definitely movement I got in my UPO Lite, and I successfully replaced it with DG2813 from Cousins. It's interesting info that it can be replaced with Myota. BTW, Cousins have redesigned their site, quite confusing, you can't browse items any more, you must search and some things not working like it should ... regards
  10. I was not satisfied with my UPO Lite movement (it was behaving quite erratic) so I decided to replace it. Since it was mentioned few times that this is DG2813, I ordered two from Cousins (at 5 GBP each I wasn't thinking very much). After seeing it in one next to another, I would say these are not same movements. I'll try to make some pictures when I get some spare time. They are very similar, and I was able to replace original movement with DG 2813, but there are some differences. And, DG 2813 I got from Cousins is definitely NOT 28000 bph, and movement from UPO is. So I would think it may very well be 4813. regards
  11. He have them with 28800 7750 ? And prices are really tempting, 245 for PVD-ceramic-look-alike bezel regards
  12. Yes there is, but it is white gold edition produced in 50 pieces ... so, not very "beliveable" if you mind about that
  13. 1931 to be precise, 1630 of these in steel, the rest are rose gold (250), white gold (50) and platinum (1) ... That was last year edition, I think there is new St.E line this year. regrards
  14. If "Seagull 2892" is really ST18 (I think it is) then hands sizes are Hr 1.50, Min .90, Sec .25 which is the same as ETA 2824/2892. DG2813 does not have these hand sizes, for other Asian 21J movements I don't know. regards
  15. I just noticed brand new Omega 2500B for 700$ on e-bay (180144887809). Now, that would make really ULTIMATE Planet Ocean, wouldn't it. I guess hands would fit from ETA UPO, what about date wheel and dial ? Is it based on 2892 ? regards
  16. OK, so, can you let us know the price ? regards
  17. Thanks! No, really, it helped me ... I improved my photographic skills in general over last few years, but I never really took time to explore photoshop (out of pure laziness I guess - I even bough some books), and that thing with magnetic lasso-tool and applying adjustments and filters to dial only opened my eyes I think I will take my time now, and read some of photoshop books i have ... regards
  18. Thanks to @jiro for his latest tutorial on using photoshop This one is in 16:9 ... and one in 4:3 regards
  19. ??? As far as I can see, Cousteau 2007 is here, not this watch. BTW, did I already say this waiting is killing me I was channel surfing last saturday morning, waiting for F1 qualifying, I turn on Premiere direct to see are there any good movies, and guess what - Lucky # Slevin was just starting. So, I say to myself, let's finally watch this movie - and there, in the very first scene after opening credits, all over my 42" wall-mounted telly - baammmm - close up of Aquatimer And, as that was not enough, there are few more such scenes during whole movie ... Now I know why it is referred to as Slevin watch And, that is what made my waiting even harder, now I started thinking to make preorder, and to pay right away ... should I be worried regards
  20. Ceramic HBB are back on Andrew and Josh's site - but check out the prices, OMG I think we are entering new era - we have $1k-asian-7750-movement-rep ... yeahh. BTW, buying few of this things in May when they were less than $600 would be really good investment regards
  21. Noo, you got me all wrong ... When HBB came out I wasn't really in for it, so I never really looked at it closely. But then it started growing on me, and I started reading, seeing pictures etc. Then a friend of mine started talking about it, after seeing it in person, so I started to really think about getting one ... and then first came price rise, and now this ... so that is why I wrote that. I really don't care about any "games" behind this all... regards
  22. So, do our dealers carry brushed or polished ceramic bezels ? In most of descriptions (on Josh's site) I saw brushed bezel in description - can someone who got a ceramic bezel rep confirm is it brushed or polished. BTW, this morning I noticed ceramic versions are GONE from Trusty and PC sites ??? Maybe bezel factory was really cracked down ... OMG, I should have got one before ... if this is the case second-hand prices for these pieces will go sky-high  regards
  23. This waiting is killing me ... I was hoping I'll have at least two great reviews (PW & BT) of this watch to read during this weekend And to start contemplating what to sell to raise funds for this ...
  24. If it is 7750 chrono version you have to push hard on top pusher to start the chrono. It is really stiff, nothing like quartz watches and their pushers (if you are used to that). regards
  25. Actually it is La Joux-Perret movement, made for Hublot, but they use ETA 7750 ebauche, and add their chrono gears, hence the 9-6-3 dial layout. So, speaking in auto-industry language engine is ETA, gearbox is La Joux-Perret, and bodyworks is Hublot regards
