Wearing CP while listening to my new Beats (rep, of course )

That strap looks sweeeeet .... BTW, http://puretimewatch.com/product/pam386-m-luminor-composite-a7750-pre-view/ regards

I think this one is closer: http://www.waccex.de/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=325_372&products_id=1046 It's 24/22 version of the above mentioned strap. I have two of these, and while they are really not even close to OEM quality, for 25€ they are fantastic. You can get quite interesting results by rubbing some baby oil or almond oil into strap. Regards

And of course, it's much easier removing it than putting it back together - thanks to ingenious hour hammer/hour counter lock assembly ... you should prepare your self with lot of patience, especially if you are working on Chinese movement. regards

A7753 has quite interesting datewheel dimensions - inner diameter is same as 7750, and outer diameter is same as ETA 7753. So, A7753 can't accept ETA 7753 DW, but it can accept 7750 date wheels. And, depending on where you print numbers on A7753 date wheel (inner edge or outer edge), you can make it accommodate "old" 7750 dials (like they did on PAM Daylights) or real 1:1 copied dials from ETA 7753 watches. Actually, dials (remind you, I'm talking about PAM Daylights, I have no experience with other A7753 based watches) are not only interchangeable, but I find them to be exactly the same, for PAM 196 at least. Here is picture of dial taken from 3-6-9 A7750 PAM 196 mounted on A7753 movement with regular 7750 datewheel (one from previous picture): regards

Well, I'm no Breitling expert, but I have some experience with PAM Daylights, I have put together few of them - A7750 3-6-9, A7753 and ETA 7753. So, here are few factoids about A7753 issues: 1. A7753 and modifed 3-6-9 A7750 have different height, and consequently different crown position - so cases are unfortunately not compatible, not saying it is impossible to put A7753 in A7750 3-6-9 case, but there must be some case modding involved 2. strangely enough, A7753 CAN take A7750 date wheel, and with A7750 date wheel, dial can also be taken from A7750 3-6-9 movement - for anyone not believing this I have picture attached of A7753 with A7750 date wheel installed 3. A7753 does not have possibility of setting date by going forward-and-backward around midnight because movement "maker" decided to save probably around 0,05 US$ and used date indicator driving wheel from 7750 movement instead of producing 7753 specific one - so, with this new part produced A7753 would have this possibility (same as ETA 7753). I hope this clears some of questions posted here. regards

Another AP Diver - This one Vaclumified + AR...with a Twist!

Great job, this relume is fantastic and takes it a big step closer to the gen. AR is definitely a must-have on this watch. Unfortunately date mag is plasticky piece of cr*p ... it can't be coated with any high-temperature process. I'm currently trying to send my date mag to optics shop that does coating for eye glasses, since this coating process is generally "cold" one. Unfortunately shop I'm using can't deal with such small diameter objects, so I'll have to improvise something ... regards -
Yes, I think I remember seeing case like this one (or maybe this one) on TZ or 'Risti ... repair bill was something like 5-6k € or USD I can't remember. I guess that is why OP is experimenting with "composite" cases - it should be considerably more durable. To quote them: "The material used for the case is truly innovative in the field of fine watch-making: the Panerai composite is a material whose features and performance are exceptional, being practically immutable over time. The result of an electrochemical process of ceramization of the aluminium, this material is harder than the ceramics normally used for cases in watch-making (zirconia), and also harder than metals like steel and titanium, as well as being lighter. Thanks to its qualities of ductility and reliability, the Panerai composite allows for complex and extremely precise workings and is the result of processes that, up to now, were employed in the creation of components for the aeronautic industry and for car and motorcycle races requiring the highest levels of performance." regards

How the f*ck did you come to that conclusion ? Because "highly esteemed" Robert claims "it feels like a gen" ... yeah right Just to mention, PWC is NOT trusted dealer here, and for a good reason ... stay away regards

Daylight PAM250K at 1/3 of retail price on Ebay? Gen?...
z3k0 replied to Smab's topic in The Panerai Area
Maybe not gen, but very good franken then. This is definitely ETA 7753 movement, not Asian, you can tell by date window size and position - only 250 rep dial for ETA that I know of is one from cartel offering from some two years ago, and this dial is much better. So I say at least dial is gen, perhaps even hands (silver tubes). About case I can't say for sure, hard to tell from such small pictures, but it could well be gen. regards -
Yes, well, mineral is not really easy for removing AR (without actually destroying it), but on the other hand it is dirt-cheap Look here for some more info: Link regards

Any reviews of the newer 3135 superclone subs?
z3k0 replied to charlesdayton's topic in The Rolex Area
I'm no Rolex expert, but this sure does not look like correct position for the crown on 16610 (I think it sits too low) - or maybe I'm wrong: -

I sense a new mega-drama developing on 'risti ... now that all the drama related to 360 is (mostly) over, something new was bound to happen I love how some of the folks there defend Panerai ... some of my favorites: "...but it's a shame when those customers bash the base models that obviously aren't for them in the first place. " "...I don't see what everyone is crying about? The way a movement that isn't displayed looks? Then claiming the exact same movement would somehow be better if it was pretty? That is ridiculous to me.... " Talk about living in denial :) And I agree with The Zigmeister, most of people there are missing the point about merits of this movement vs. other PAM 6497-based movements ... On a positive note, I'm now so glad I snatched 318 CB few weeks ago, I'm sensing my first super-franken coming. And I might even take to an AD and ask for authenticity check regards
